Hey Shell...I agree that I hope she is doing well and was able to move on to her new life.

Regarding your foray into roller derby...have you had a chance to update on your experience as yet (I don't know if I missed it). Everyone was excited for you and hoping to hear more about it.

Sweethiez--it's an expression that (I believe) dates back to the ancient Romans, at a time they paid their soldiers in salt. Basically in 2010 it means--a good man who's acting from a place of truth and honour and thus one need not question his motives, even if at first they disappoint.

(((LIsa Roxanne)))

I feel for you.. I'm sorry you're going through such a hard time. I had a mother who was an alcoholic and schizophrenic and I had to grow up really fast to take care of myself because I knew that she couldn't. I agree with all the good advises everybody gave you.. Get out of there and get your life back! Yes, you'll have to start from scratches but it's so worth it. When I did it for me, I didn't have friends then to support me (I had my workaholic father, who I love very much, but no friends and lots of enemies) and it was still hard but now I'm so strong internally.. Those experiences show you how really strong you are and how NOTHING can destroy you! I truly believe that NOTHING can kill me... the only thing that can kill me is me!!! and I chose to live and to live HAPPILY!! I had to work at that but now life is better, not perfect but better! Now I have real good friends, not many but I don't need too many anyways.. just quality not quantity!

I don't have any capricorn (or earth planets!!) but I also have a cancer rising and I have saturn-pluto in my 5th house (childhood and personal expression).. I have pluto in my late 4th house and saturn exactly conjunct my 5th house cusp. Pluto in the 4th house means learning to find security within yourself without anybody else... it was hard to do at a young age but now I feel good that I went through it.

I have high hopes for you because you're looking for a way out instead of letting yourself go and I praise you for that! The beginning (or the start) of any great thing is hard to do but after it became much more easier! Have courage and you'll see the light soon!!

Take great care of yourself Lisa!!! I'm sending much love your way and I hope that you'll get out of this situation soon...

PS chrispito said : "Also: an older man who tells a younger woman she is too young for him is A MAN WORTH HIS SALT.<font face="Times, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: medium">"</font>

what does this mean?? Sorry i don't know many english expressions!

I also wish I had seen this post sooner.

I am so sorry you are going through so much. That really is the burden of Capricorn-- grow up young, usually through the harshest circumstances possible.

Find the right therapist for you and stick with it. It's not easy for Caps to open up to others but you'll need to learn the correct ways of going through life-- systems, another Capricorn word. Find someone who will teach you what your family has not.

And remember, you are not YOUR family. The Cancer Rising versus all that Cap (esp Cap NNode Rx) concerns me that you will have a struggle to escape a self-image formed like them, but I think your Jupiter in Leo/Venus in Aquarius says something about forming a family YOU choose. So, with all that Cap, you have the power to learn how to choose wisely, and build something better. For yourself and the people you choose.

Best of luck to you darlin'.

you are right, goddess, in my regard, at least.

i ended up having to hurt someone i loved to keep them from killing me. it snapped something in my head. so it goes...

it was an isolated incident. i had never worried about my safety with that person before, once. but it was enough to make an impression.

Just so I don't give the impression that I'm a habitual "blacker-outer" I've blacked out precisely twice in my life, both from drinking too much...the first time I did this, I was 17 and later apprised of a sexual situation I wasn't even cognizant to know was happening to me at that time, which I wish I'd been a more of a willing participant in (mentally, since physically I was good to go), since it was the only time I'd ever been involved with multiple girls in a sexual act. I had to choose THAT night to test my alcoholic limits!?

The second time, when I was 21, I got sick all over a good friend's couch and passed out. Suffice it to say, that ended my heavy drinking, and now I'm a lightweight shot-slugger--two shots (three at the most) and I'm done drinking for the night. No amount of cajoling, peer-pressuring, etc., will make me relent--usually it has the opposite effect, convincing me to launch into those who don't know well enough to leave it alone.

A person is responsible for fixing any mess they cause when they are blacked out. I believe that.

I don't believe they should be continually badgered and issued ultimatims and threats, however, if they do their best to apologize and make amends.

___

Sa: (Whatever happened to the plural "you" in English, anyway?)

The plural "you" in English is, oddly enough, "one".

For example "I believe that one is responsible for whatever one does while blacked out " or "I do not believe that one is responsible for what they have done while blacked out."

It guess it's not plural so much as referring to the fact it could be any old person, not someone in specific, as the use of "you" might be misunderstood sometimes.

goddess--yes. my 1st boyfriend didn't beat me but fell down stairs, tried to jump out windows, pissed the bed, ended up in jail cells, and the worst is that he'd confess all the pain and trauma and abuse of his childhood and the next day would completely shut down/off and refuse to talk or deal with it. the only option was to walk--would ANYONE want to wake up in a drunk's piss every morning?

/end rant

i find it very interesting that the more contact people have had with problem drinkers/druggies and the like, the more likely they are to vote "yes, you are responsible for what you do in such states."

having worked with that population professionally and had some experience with them personally, i am among that group.
