So it's possible he was trying to save himself a perceived rejection by doing it to you first. It could be something he imagined in his head of course. Or possibly he realized your&nbsp;affection is too light in comparison to all that cancer he's got going which wants to cling. My guess is that he's started something with someone else or extremely particular about his privacy (esp. since he has a Cancer sun and venus), or both. Cancer isn't always good about being direct, hence the mixed messages. I dated a guy with this combo and he wasn't good at verbalizing his feelings, starting difficult conversations etc (and certainly not in public).
