citygirl:

I thought I'd share you an experience I had today. I was in a group Career Exploration workshop and made friends with two particular people (a Scorpio and a Libra). Both are going through Saturn Returns: the man on his first one (as I am) and the woman on her second Saturn Return. It's funny how we were all in one workshop, the three of us, all going through Saturn Returns and having the rug pulled under our feet and given a sense of urgency that something must change in our lives.

The lady I talked to had a small publishing business that grew larger. She has made decisions that suddenly resulted to the closing down of her business. She basically went from having a lot of money and property to almost nothing at all. Although at first she experienced fear, she felt happier for some odd reason, as though she did not need the money nor the stress. It was really empowering hearing her desire to reinvent herself.

Sometimes all we need is a perspective shift. Sometimes, we just have to roll with the punches. It's scary to go through Saturn Return, but when you think about it, it leads you to something better.

I hope you're doing ok! :)

((citygirl1980)). Nothing is ever as bad as it seems. Saturn only teachs us and shows us the right way. You'll survive and be wiser for it.

Once you take the first step, it gets less and less scary. It's just that first one. Make one choice in the right direction and things get started, and you gain momentum.

(((citygirl1980)))

I am totally with you here as I am in the throes of Saturn Return myself. The burnout, the depression - it is indeed Saturn and believe me - it's not pretty. I have a Pluto and Neptune transit going on as well, so you can imagine I've being tossed around in different directions ;) But I have to say that my situation has much improved from last month (where I was in a very dark place)... And here's what I gotta say.

Heed the advice of the ladies who already wrote on this post :) Gloria, especially, knows what she's talking about :) You owe it to yourself to LIVE, therefore, you really have your answer there. Much before my Saturn Return, I had to leave a three year relationship too with my first serious boyfriend, and that was the hardest. But if you think about it, neither you nor your husband will be happy with this if the marriage continues. So you'll have to accept this resolve and just go ahead. Easier said than done, believe me, but you really know what you ought to do at this point.

As for being a cosmetician - I really do believe you owe it to yourself to study too. Funny, because I was studying to be a makeup artist myself, though I'm looking into other avenues. I know how hard it is to switch careers as that is currently my Saturn Return issue at the moment. I didn't know what life was outside my current career, and I felt completely drained. The worst part is, a lot of people envy me for my job - for being a designer, for earning a good salary... But it wasn't making me happy. You really owe it to yourself to be happy so you might as well leap. What's the worse that can happen right? Well, I was laid off from work a month earlier, and it was a wakeup call for me that perhaps it was nature's way of ousting me from my previous career that I so held on to and I am forced to be more authentic to myself and what I really want.

Saturn Returns are hard, but if you think of the end result - you will be a better person. And believe me when I say it only gets harder the more you resist. Keep in mind that there is something bigger driving you here. Go with the flow. Learn its lessons. Look inward. Be authentic with yourself. It will be hard, but trust me - it is worth it.

Take care ok?

citygirl, pick up the book Callings by Gregg LeVoy. These strong urges are not going to go away, and at some point either you have to choose to act on them (leave your husband, go to cosmetology school) or you will be sitting on them miserable. Reading that book will help you deal with the mental transition you have to go through before you start doing the physical tasks.

Also, do some journalling about why you want to leave/go to school vs. the reasons not to. At the very least, purging your feelings helps.

Hi citygirl1980, first of all (((hug))), now chart aside, I think you already know what you need to do. What you need to do is to get yourself in school and get yourself in the mix. I know it takes courage but courage is not a THING that will just COME to you if you wait long enough. You need to put one foot in front of another and just take it step by step in small doses. For me, courage is something you grow inside of you and it gains momentum as you keep on keeping on. Start from the smallest thing. Open a phone book to check out the schools, make an appointment to meet with the admin., check out FASA and fill out those forms and apply for a grant.

The reason I am telling you this is because I totally know where you're at and how you're feeling. And trust me, you will feel SO good and you'll learn so much about yourself! I was in a shitty relationship that was not really going anywhere, stuck at a horrible job, etc... I had such low self-esteem, etc....then one day i just decided i need to do something different, I was broke and i was scared and i had nothing to lose. I just opened the phone book, followed thru the procedures, set small goals for myself, day in day out, and then I made lots of friends, and then I feel better about myself... actually, I rediscovered myself! And one year later, everything changed. My relationships changed, my direction has changed. I know it sounds scary- all these changes.... but mind you, I am a taurus myself...BUT these are good changes, predictable changes; hard work = good results, as far as school goes anyway.

Let your heart take you away. Courage comes from your heart, your heart is already in the right place, I say, just start walking and everything will follow.

I often ask myself, "What can I DO? What is MY PART that I can change to make the situation better?"

Citygirl80, i hope i am not coming at you sounding all bossy and stuff. I just feel passionate about your situation because I've been there and I KNOW that you can do it. I am going thru SR too so I understand the pressure you're under.

As far as your marriage goes, take care of yourself first, I think Saturn in Libra is not only going to show us how to relate with others but how we relate to ourselves. Are we being fair to ourselves and giving our desires enough care and attention. do the best you can. don't give up!

YOU CAN DO IT!!

Think of it as a Wake up Call. There is no need to be afraid! If we spend our youth inside a cloud then its not surprise that Saturn comes in front of us asking for a foundation restructure! Saturn comes to remind you that you must pick a path that lead you to a better place than what you are following now! A path that is strong enought to last.

Ohhh and you Saturn return is happening in the 8th house! So no wonder why the change is going to be deep! But I am sure when it finish, you will see great benefits

Ok ...Maybe I dont know what I am talking about! I didnt have my SR yet ! I will come back to this post when I am 29 :S
____

''I also want to return to school to become an cosmetician, and yes, with that too, I need the courage as well. ''
''I'm ready to walk away, but I don't have enough courage to, I even think my husband knows I am scared to leave. '''

You have MC Sagittarius square Mars and Jupiter(7th)
You should claim your courage back! Because you have it but maybe you are projecting it.That is the danger of the 7th house! If you dont use the planet's energy then someone else will!

_____

And dont forget that the triple cnjunction Jupiter,Neptune and Chiron is happening in your first house. Look at it as the new start of self discovery and self image!
____

Good luck with everything!

Taurus woman-

I've been tired, depressed, and feeling burnt-out with life

This is Saturn, no-doubt.

falling apart and nudging me to leave

This sounds more Pluto-related. Even though you would have a trine to your sun from Pluto, right now, you might have more negative pluto aspects. But Pluto is one of those planets where even trines and sextiles might be felt as re-structuring.

Not that what planet is giving you the nudges matters, but to start, look at your chart, look at where Pluto and Saturn are in transit, and what aspects the transits are making. Let us know if you need more direction.

Hello,

I'm a 29 year old woman experiencing my first SR. Needless to say, I am going through A LOT right now. For the past several months, I've been tired, depressed, and feeling burnt-out with life. Nowadays, I have been experiencing a "push" that is telling me to do all I can to make my life better. I am currently in a marriage that has been falling apart for the last few years, it's kinda in the "considering divorce" stage; but truth be told, in my heart of hearts, I'm ready to walk away, but I don't have enough courage to, I even think my husband knows I am scared to leave. Still my SR is nudging me to leave, everyday. I also want to return to school to become an cosmetician, and yes, with that too, I need the courage as well. In truth, I am so sick and tired of watching my life pass me by every single day. I feel helpless and weak.

Basically, I would like to know if anyone can look at my chart and tell me once and for all what I need to do to get through my SR. I need all the advice I could get. Any replies will be GREATLY appriciated.

My Birth info:

April 21, 1980
