When I've cried about other things, he gets flummoxed -- but he's very supportive and always good for a hug (not necessarily at other non-crying times, though). I've gotta say I've only seen one other man cry, my first high school boyfriend and that was because I was leaving after visiting him at college. Seeing my current boyfriend cry -- and I've seen him do it more than once -- was almost like watching a cat walk on its hind legs (not that my Pisces moon isn't compassionate and Venus/Mercury in Virgo doesn't want to help -- I do) and I felt strangely privileged and quite close to him. I've only held him once during the last few times he's broken down. But I do reassure him and comfort him through words and touch. (he's got a cancer moon/jupiter, his emotions are big!) When I cry, it's usually at things like movies/tv show/commercial, so no affection there--we just laugh afterwards. If it's a serious cry, he's attentive, but he won't give much affection unless I go in for it first.   Dorothy on "How Does Your Man React When You Cry? My ex would usually sit there, silent, with tears sliding down his own face.  Even in the heights of his own emotion, if I started tearing up you could see him start to crumple.  There were a few times he would hold me and we would cry together, and usually that was marvelously comforting; most of the time, though, I don't want to be physically near anyone when I cry -- I want to be as far away from humanity as possible and wail and stomp and gnash to my heart's content.  (In general, about three minutes.  Any longer and it just becomes embarrassing.)  He was Libra sun, Virgo moon, Scorp rising with Venus/Mars/Uranus conjunct ASC from the 12th. It has always been my runaway imagination that caused me pain. We have never even had a fight in three years together. When I have cried in front of him, he has a big warm hug ready. When my brother had a stroke, when I totaled my car, when I lost my job; he was htere to comfort and listen. He was even more perplexed that I can't seem to communicate when I'm in a heavily emotional state. I don't remember him being particularly nurturing... just kind of staring at me in awe... I think he was a double Libra but I was never sure b/c I didn't know his birth time. The guy I inadvertently dated because we lived in the same house (not the other way around) was a big sap/crybaby. Moon in Cancer, he had some Daddy issues and was always blubbering about this or that. He also had some addiction problems that I learned of slowly. Most of the time, he was crying, and then I'd join in. My recent ex is Gem/Capricorn and generally shows no emotion. However, his kindly goatness meant he was always very gentlemanly with me, so while he never understood my turmoil, he always was kind of just there standing by, slightly puzzled but "okay with whatever." My latest dude is the Taurus with Cancer moon and he reacts to my weeping in all sorts of interesting ways. Once while we were driving and having a "misunderstanding" I started crying in the middle of trying to speak. This upset him so he pulled over and joined in. More recently, I was crying during a private moment and he patted me gently, but then later he had to go and ruin it with some sort of sarcastic remark about my weeping. In general though, I agree with y'all. They're less likely to show sympathy if their own ego is involved.
