I nearly did that to my current partner, I asked for space and moved into a friend's place for a couple weeks. But I came back. I don't know what happened, I just decided to try something different I guess. I just had a little epiphany. You know, I was about to say how the problem is usually me having flaws that the other did not see. Cuz I am more worried about him realizing I am too out there or something... but I am coming to realize something else. I see flaws in someone that I am dating and then turn it into an issue of them not accepting me, when in reality it's the other way around. It's usually a matter of me being in costume and then getting indignant about their surprise when I step out of it. That or making a costume that matches theirs and then eventually getting sick of it, so when I go to pull mine off and they are still in theirs, I resent it and twist the reality around to fit my story. So the solution I guess is for me to learn to erase the other's flaws, and for me to stop putting on a costume on [that I simply assume is wanted] in my relationships. Hilarious... I was using a false martyr story about love when really it is I who am the sinner and they the saint. Not even that they see who I'm not. It's like I'm invisible. Or... it's that I make myself invisible when I like someone! Anyway, I love that advice that strawberry f mentioned. You TRANSCEND it. You see the beauty in flaw.... "Is there any instance where the placement of Neptune is actually a GOOD thing?" I could go on and on about this too but quickly one time (I have Venus sq Neptune) I was in the gym on a cross trainer and saw three women on treadmills out in front of me. They all had pretty seriously flawed bodies according to the beauty standard but I had the ability to see beyond that... to blur it and readily see how each of them could and probably was the IT girl for someone. Because when someone loves you, they love YOU and no one else will do. If you wonder about this, just consider Christopher Reeve. Did his wife leave him? hell no. Venus Neptune loves your soul and could give fuck all about your warts and what have you. Also on this topic, check "denial" tag. I made a video I keep scarce these days (never pull it up) but it's around... the upside of denial. I have written a few posts on that subject actually so these would give you and idea, dina2.
