immediately made me think of the Saturn Pluto square at it again. The second page talks about Congress allowing unlimited funding to Freddie and Fannie even if they lose money. Will we never learn??????? Wow!

Toni - If the Sibly chart is seen as the chart of the country the involvement of Saturn and Pluto with the MC of the chart seems to say that this change will not be seen as positive at this time.

Michelle - Time is short and he may be reluctant (to say the least) to withdraw from the market but you might try to persuade him to diversify into "recession proof" stocks. I think this period will be the beginning of a restructuring that will take years to adjust. We didn't get here in just days or months and will not correct in days or months. September 2008 Pluto was square Sibly MC (relocated to DC) and there was a full Moon involving Sibly Neptune when Lehman Bros collapsed and Wall Street lost more than 500 points.

persian_cat - Everybody should try to prepare for lean times ahead but we can deal with it. The Pluto station in September was within 1° of a square to my relocated MC with Saturn 3° away from it. When the Saturn transit was exact to my Neptune and relocated MC (Oct 5 and 12) Pluto was still square to them. It was a down period of time but I am still here. Earlier this year I checked to see how many hard transits I had in my life from Pluto. I have had 76 hard aspects (conjunction, square and opposition) from Pluto to every planet and angle of my chart and many more from Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune, but still here and kicking.

Elsa - Thank you again! To show that squares are not bad and how separate aspects integrate, this honor coincides with the Pluto square to my relocated MC and Jupiter square to natal Uranus in contrast to the Pluto square while Saturn was at the MC when I was having a rough patch. I have always contended that it was the nature of the planets involved, not the aspect, that was important in interpretation.

Best to all.

Bob

ps - Elsa you've got me busier than a 3 legged man in an ass-kicking contest

Liz, I love reading your posts. You are very clear to me.

And, too funny, I just spoke with my mom about this. She's amazing and very open to talking about astrology. Says my dad won't budge, though, on the market - he is STUBBORN. I tried to warn him last year, too. Oh well, do what you can. Just hope I wasn't mean to my mom by making her aware beforehand with nothing else to do about it! I told her it was an 'opportunity' and not to worry, the market will come back eventually. agh! I don't know enough... Pluto/Cap square Saturn in cardinal sign is scary, though. It's all a pendulum, I suppose. Just hang on...

"I don't know if I have this right, but do Pluto/Saturn transits always hit 3 times? Was the hit to the US economy last September also a Pluto transit? (This roller coaster is eerily similar to what happened during the depression, although over a longer period of time.) "

Most, if not all, transits hit 3 times. Last september's hit was when pluto entered capricorn and we came into reality with a thud. Then Saturn opposed Uranus in november and people thought things were cured/had an answer. But the Saturn/Uranus opposition is still going on. The reason this seems eerily similar to the depression is that that was the last time the cardinal signs clashed in transit.. and it is the cardinal energy that deals with money and relationships. In that case it was pluto in cancer which is what lead to the depression energy. Homes/families were destroyed. And capricorn was the one not in the frey - people who maintained the structure survived and as well IMO it was capricorn that helped pull it out - basically the government doing something - even if it was war - to help turn the economy and re-establish families. In this case cancer is the one not in the frey, and IMO it will be the family that helps rebuild the structure after it's final conflict which will be next summer. So don't be mean to your mom. :P

Should I take this as a personal warning as well? But then I've been preparing myself for the advent of my saturn square in november.

So, Saturn bring it on.

Wow! That is huge. How would you suggest getting this across to my father who still has most of his money in the market at age 67? If only CNN would post the warning. ha! I might print out the world charts anyway and show it to him.

I don't know if I have this right, but do Pluto/Saturn transits always hit 3 times? Was the hit to the US economy last September also a Pluto transit? (This roller coaster is eerily similar to what happened during the depression, although over a longer period of time.)

Any idea when we'll come out of this?

Thanks for this post!

Wow!! What a surprise! Thank you Elsa. I sent you an email this morning - hope you got it. If not , let me add my CONGRATULATIONS to you and THE SOLDIER!

The US is and it's financial charts are not the only ones getting visited by the Saturn-Pluto square. This link is to a folder with the charts for Australia, Canada, France, Great Britain, Germany, Israel, Japan, Mexico, Russia, and Switzerland. It seems that whatever happens between Nov 5 and 14 may reverberate around the globe.

If anybody wants to see more of the charts in that account click on "unique_astrology" in the upper left corner. That will take you to the main page where there is a list of folders down the left side of the page.

Thanks again to one of the brightest stars of the astrological cyberworld.

People who are flexible and brave might find this time exhilarating. Not sure that is the same as good, though.

Without question (at least in my mind), people who are rigid and/or have a sense of entitlement will experience these times as very bad.

I've been one of the "losers" in this economy, but I have to say this is without a doubt the most exciting time of my life. Not exciting as in blowing out the birthday candles on a cake, but exciting as in realization of growth potential.

That's just my 2 cents, anyway.
