Been doing a little research on the 8th house. Some of the "old" astrology has frightening things to say about this placement. Anyone with personal experience? Anyone out there manage to channel this energy into Happiness, Peace, Love?

(It's not me, by the way - it's the guy I'm seeing. My biggest problems are that most of my stuff is in detriment. Libra Mars. Venus in Virgo in the 12th. Moon Scorpio. Libra planets in the first house (I'm a walking contradiction).

But anyway, 8th house is what I'm investigating here. Specifically, Mars in Pisces.

My 8th house:

Sun in Pisces, conjunct both Venus in Pisces, and Mars in Aries in a nice little triangle.

 I can't specifically describe the energy in this house, because it's in my genetic make up with this trio. It would be to describe myself, which would take too long. 

I'm not sure if it's the house energy or the water/fire, but it's a lot to handle.  

I am, in general, a very positive person. Definitely an optimist more than a pessimist.  Whether my strength plays a part in that through mars Aries, or not, I can't say.
