    Hey All,

One of my good friends just had a baby a couple of weeks ago and upon her text after birth, I noted the little one in my astro.com website. Last night, I received an email from her that simply said "Hey Buddy, are you going to do an astrology reading for my baby? Thanks, bye." I laughed out loud, this girl's humor just clicks with me.

Anyway, I had all intentions set to look at the chart and give her some info before she even asked, but I stumbled on a  question before I even started. She we look at things differently for the charts of infants and children? I can't recall who wrote it, but I do have an astrology book that focuses on children and astrology...so I will get to that when I'm back in my spare room/library later this weekend.

But for now my question for you is, would you approach the chart of a child differently than an adult and how so? Do you have any ideas for the new little one and her chart below?

My knee-jerk reaction to this chart was "holy 4th house" and then after that I thought, "that's a whole lot of air". :)

    Very cool! Congrats, Auntie Alicia!

As you know, I'm just a mere dabbler - but I've read that the rising sign manifests first.

For example, I am Virgo rising and I was rather prim and exacting as a little girl. (but I'm also Virgo Venus)

This baby is Gemini rising so it's sure to be a chatty one!

I'd also look at the moon to see how the relationship with mom will go.

I'm scorpio moon and my mom was a little scary growing up.

    HA.

Thats a tricky one Alicia.  I did charts for my two nephews, a newborn and a 3 year old.  I ended up just putting them under lock and key. But as the parents and grandparents tell me stories about the boys, I just nod and say Yep, I know.

Its real tough to know what to tell the parents and how.  Paint with broad strokes and keep it vague and upbeat.  To me, just focusing on the elements is a good method.  Of course, if your friend is open to the astrology, that makes it a whole lot easier.  How fun!

"Paint with broad strokes and keep it vague and upbeat" I agree!

I closed up the orbs on this one, but if you widen them a bit, there's a grand trine in air with Mercury, Jupiter and the Asc--that's sure to be a crowd pleasing configuration. ;)
