I have a weird question...

Do events tend to crop up as an aspect comes together by applying or as it comes exact by the minute and begins to separate?  

What has been your experience? Thanks. :P

I think things are most intense when the aspect it applying. By the time it is exact, you are steeped in it, up to your neck.

I also think effects fade very rapidly once the exact aspect has passed but this is not conventional wisdom and I am a naturally forward looking person..

Well, the only transit I've tracked (I know, I should be tracking more, it'd help), was my Saturn Return.  For me, things happened when it was applying, then lessened as it was seperating.

Now that I have some experience with transits, I think I can agree that the struggle lessens after the exact aspect has passed.

I had an epiphany today, I checked the transit date of summer 2004, when I believe (in hindsight) my husband and I started having problems in our relationship...it was the begining of my Pluto/Moon conjunction!!  Now that everything has come to the surface regarding all of our problems since 2004 and I am getting comfortable with the changes I need to make, etcetera, etcetera......the conjunction is going to be at zero degrees here again after retrograde.  I can definitely see the struggle all these years as it was applying....and finally seeing some relief after it's all been brought to the surface.  My Saturn conjunct Venus transit is exactly at zero degrees right now, and I definitely feel some relief in comparison to a few months ago.

I asked the same question last week, and it was a huge relief to know that was most people's experience.
