My childhood Sagittarius friend has a 12th house Gemini Jupiter conjunct her Cancer Ascendant and opposite Mars in the 7th.

She's funny, good natured etc. But she is NOT what you would say approachable.

She has a Scorpio Moon conjunct her Sadge Sun in the 5th.

I don't want to post her chart because I'm really protective of her. Sorry nothing personal!

Why do you think she isn't approachable? Is it the Mars on the Descendant?

I have a Gemini Ascendant with a Cancer Jupiter in the first house and everybody talks to me!

Maybe she appears a little "protective" of herself too @Tam? Cancer... Scorp? By protectve, I mean guarded... maybe a bit distant/ aloof?

I have completely different stuff going on in my 12th/asc./1st house, and I'm not very approachable either; so I could'nt tell you. Has she ever tried to suss it out for herself, or is she unaware of this quality ?

I have vesta on my ascendant. Guys wanting one night stands don't usually approach me!

Is the Scorpio Moon trining her ASC?

Because the Scorpio influence could give a more mysterious, cautious and quiet allure. Plus the Moon is the chart ruler.

Hmm @Solaire and @McKenna, that's a good point about Tam's friend. I have scorpio pluto trining my ASC, and I think (I am not so self aware so I am not sure) that that makes me a bit less approachable, despite the 'soft' look of my ASC.

Yes she is aloof, and she is aware, but her feelings don't match up to her expression/appearance.

I know that when my mom & I are sleepy we look mad as hell! LOL So I understand a little.

We laugh about it! The Libra and myself attract freaks, and we told her we wanted to sign up for her "unapproachable class!" She laughed and said "I can't help you, I don't know what I'm doing!" LOL

What I was thinking when I wrote the post, was I have a Gemini Asc/Jupiter in Cancer in the First and she has the reverse. Gemini Jupiter/Cancer Asc. I just thought that energy would be similar. But it's not.

She has her Sun/Moon biquitile her Ascendant and Uranus/Pluto quintile her Ascendant?! Whatever that means. It's like she has an unconscious angry look, and she has no clue.

Well, her Jupiter is in the 12th.It's hidden in the 12th house fog. Yours, on the other hand, is in the 1st, and it's meant to be noticed.

Besides, you have a chatty, friendly Gemini rising. Whilst hers is a cautious Cancer.

Scorp moon for the unapproachable undertow (my ex has this and he is friendly...but people are careful around him)

Mars in 7th for the unconscious angry aggressive look (I do this if I'm not running around doing something)

No not like alone time, more like "don't come near me" :)

But as soon as she sees me, it's boom Sagittarius. Like a switch has flipped. I don't know how to describe it. But she's intimidating to look at going through a store shopping. You wouldn't ask her where the soup is. LOL

I have Uranus/Pluto and Saturn square my Ascendant and I don't look scary to anybody....unless I'm sleepy. LOL

Wow @Tam I feel like you are talking about me. I have a cancer ascendant and scorpio moon and sadge sun in the 5th as well. People tell me that I come across as intense and sometimes intimidating. I figured it was my cancer rising--with saturn and pluto aspecting it-- I've always been shy and reserved in new situations. Add onto that the intense moon (ALWAYS feeling my environment), I think people just pick up on the intense undercurrent.

I don't come across as approachable at all. In fact I am relieved when more chatty sociable types come up and initiate conversation with me first--then my saggitarius comes out and I love to engage with them. But I just don't have it in me to put myself out there initially in a lot of situations. Sometimes I wish I was "lighter" and approachable but oh well- whatcha gonna do? Damn Pluto 

I agree - the Cancer ascendant would make her a little self protective. But the Scorpio moon is probably what makes people a little reluctant to approah her. In my experience, people with either a moon or venus in Scorpio have a certain intensity below the surfance that can be unerving. That could of course be because I am a Leo Sun/Ascendant/Mercury - people approach me easily, though I can be difficult at times! - but I know od at least two other Scorpio moons who say they have trouble when it comes to casual socialising!
