thanks you guys, I am thwarted. Jeez, I miss it though. That was like a whole horizon laid out before me.  But I have been hammered into what I am know and I don't think it's a mistake. I sure miss frolicking though and writing the REAL shadow.

Why aren't you story telling Elsa? You must have some good ones lurking about!

Is there enough hours in the day for you to do both???  I mean, you do sprinkle great stories throughout your writing now, but it sounds like you're talking about something different than that... Maybe you can continue doing this (because it isn't a mistake), but then write nothing but your 'stories', as a 'weekly' or even 'monthly' thing.

I don't tell stories because I am valued (paid) for other skills. Stories in the way I like to tell them require immersion and I can't manage that right now, in short, duty calls.

I miss the stories, too.

i miss the _real_ shadow.  but by definition it's probably be hard to swing.  seen it suck others' shadow right in.

Why did you erase your xanga?

I always erased my xanga. I had a fit about every 3-5 months and made everything private and then started back up in a week or 10 days.

eris - I think you are right and also I think this / storytelling, is a perishable skill. The further I get from it, the harder I think it would be to do and it is appearing to me more and more that those are days gone by.

We did come up with a way I could get back to that but I would have to make this work first and after 10 years of trying... it's marginal so I just don't know.

I think I am supposed to help people and what I do now seems to have a greater value than entertaining.  I don't know. I just think the opportunity was there but I missed it and I doubt I missed it on mistake or accident.  I think there has got to be a reason because that writing was in no way insignificant. I just don't exactly get it is all.

it seems life turns on a dime sometimes.  you never know what experience might come in useful...
