I know this is not an astrology issue, so forgive me in advance, but I am starting my daughter on a new medication today, and I am just asking for any good thoughts you all could send her way. Her name is Michele, and she has alot of issues, but this one issue has not been resolving, and I had to give in and try another medication. I hate making these decisions - it is so hard.....thanks to anyone who takes a moment out for her......
I will be thinking about you and Michele today! Hope she responds well to the new med!!!
Here's a big ol' bushel basket of hope and prayer for restoration for Michele and for your whole famliy Dorothy. ((((HUGS))))
Dorothy and Michele: Sending hope, prayers and the very very best thoughts (((BIG hugs)))
((((michele))))(((dorothy)))))
I hope the transition is a success...thinking of you both
Keep your good friends around you Dorothy to keep giving you good feedback. Hoping this medication works for your daughter....you both have been battling this a while now and deserve a break....bless you both!
Thank you all so much, from the bottom of my heart.....your kindness is overwhelming. Again, thank you , and bless you all.
Your love for your daughter is shining through here. I'm joining the force here reflecting love back to you both. ((Dorothy and Michele)) X
I hope it is working out!! Many good vibes coming from me to you and her.
if I can ask one question, and I don't mean to pry and you can disregard, but I was wondering why you said you were "giving in" by trying this? I only say this because I am generally very picky about medical stuff and like to exhaust all possibilities, and many people do not feel comfortable challenging medical professionals, and I hope you are ok with trying this. It's one thing to feel demoralized about never-ending medical problems/decisions, and another thing to feel something is "off" or not a good approach. I for one can't stand the hit-or-miss approach to medicine.
I am just trying to be helpful. Good luck.
Hi PixieDust - it is very sweet of you to ask. At the moment, the new medication is working somewhat, but not enough that I can say it is a success. It does not mean that it won't work - I am going to call up this specialist and see if he recommends a similar medication, or to give it more time.
My daughter has several neurological issues - in a nutshell what has been plaguing her lately is incontinence. It is very common with kids in the autistic spectrum, but she had had this under control for a long time. Her OCD tendencies also really went through the roof this past summer - it all seems to be tied together.
I have always been one to wait and see if all else fails before I start her on another medication, but the point is reached where I have to take the chance, because she is suffering. Fortunately I have a great psychiatrist for her, who takes a "least medication needed as possible" approach. She has been under his care for about 4 years now. She also has several other specialists.
The good news is that her mood has improved a great deal (much less mood swings) these past few weeks, which is due to her psychiatrist slightly increasing the medication he prescribes for her on. Anyway, sorry if this is much more information than you asked for. But again, I do appreciate your concern....
dorothy I'm glad you filled up in...lots of good wishes for you and michele, too.
