When I was that age I had a copy of Sybil Leek's Astrological Guide to Successful Everyday Living. I also had a copy of Linda Goodman's Sun Signs. I used to shut myself up in my room and read those over and over again. A little later on I found a copy of Grant Lewi's Heaven Knows What which I think is a great introduction to chart drawing. I did little simplified charts for every one I could think of.
Someone should write a book for little kids! That'll be cool. Teaching them the meaning behind each signs.

The other day, my 12-year old Aries niece saw me poring through a chart and she asked me about it. I was at a loss for a while and made a quick recovery.
"Why don't I tell you how the four elements work first and you tell me the birthdays of your core group in school?"
She was amazed and made fast assumptions herself judging on how the elements work together.
How do we properly teach kids astrology as a subject in a structured way?
