I often try to guess my dogs sign - I don't really know as I got him as a 2 year old.
My son's boxer is on the Virgo/Leo cusp. He loves to eat fruit & veggies which I think is weird for a dog and possibly Virgo-ish, but to me he looks VERY leonine.
Aww sounds cute. Using derivative houses (am I misspelling that over and over?) the cat in that picture is aquarius -- she is smart and quirky. But VERY loving, empathic. She must have some pisces or cancer somewhere.....
My dog is a Taurus. The food & water bowl have to be topped off at all times or he comes and tells me about it. He won't wipe his face on the old carpet, he makes a bee line for the new wool rug. :rolls eyes:
I've thought about this before too and I would love to give it a try, but I don't know when either of my cats were born!
The problem with pets is that animals are sexually based upon nature. That is, most species go into heat in the spring and bear young soon after, and into the summer.
When I asked a vet if she knew of anyone that was giving away kittens once upon a time, her response was to go back to her in May - that's usually about when the first groups would begin giving birth.
You may just find the deck stacked for the Aries through Scorpio bend.
I THINK my cat is a Taurus. I was told her birthday was on May 17th from her previous owner who raised her from new born to 1 year; and if I think about it I can see it (but am I only seeing what I want to see?)
Luci, that's a good point - it's tough to tell if you're seeing the signs or looking for them. And it's a lot harder to play the guessing game with animals than with people.
I can do a little guessing as to the sun sign of one of my cats based on when I got him, since I got him as a kitten. He was a stray, but it's easier to guess their age when they're so little. I'm pretty sure he's a Cancer. It's fitting too - he's very needy & loves his family to death! :P
My cat (in the picture) is a Pisces. When I am just about to enter the apartment, there she is, waiting for me. It's like she has ESP or something ;)
Although part of me thinks she has some kind of Leo in her as she always acts like a queen... Geez, that cat :)
We adopted our 2 cats as kittens in August. Based on age at adoption, they should be Cancers which would help explain their fascination with running water.
We inherited a third cat a few years ago who I am told was born at the end of April (Taurus). He comes off as more practical and aloof from the other 2 water lovers who wear their hearts on their paws.
My last two cats (who, sadly, I had to give away...they went to good homes) were Libra and Gemini. They didn't get along with my big gray cat, Phantom, at all. He's a Virgo (Sept. 20) with a Taurus Moon. He's huge and lays around most of the day. No surprise that he didn't get along with two social Air sign cats.
I wish I knew! My cat is a complete badass jail bird who I adopted after she languished unloved in kitty-jail for 6 months.
"She's very docile, a real peacemaker," they told me.
Yesterday I had to block her from chasing a raccoon out of the garden! Hello?! He'll kill you!
She must have some fire in her, like her mama.
Oh, and she talks non-stop. Itt sounds like this:
"Meh. meh-meh, mehmehmeh-meh. Meh." I used to call her Daffy as it sounded like I had a duck in my house. I love her to death.
ANNNNND she is cuddly as hell...I can even hang her upside down and all I get it a little "meh."
She trusts me, and I love it.
I have two dogs, my big ol' mutt is a Scorpio and whats more mysterious than a mutt? Can't tell what she's mixed with just a WHOLE lot of dogs, I met the parents and they were mixed breeds too so, she really is a heinz 57
the second is a jack russell, I'll have to look at her papers, but I think she's taurus, which is perfecty apt for a terrier and probably accounts for her calmness for her breed.
oh and her bullheadedness

Has anyone out there ever done a chart for their pet. Or even know their pet's sun sign? I know someone who uses derivitive houses for pet stuff, but I'm not sure what I think about it.
