Bad Things Happening in Good Transits?

I was shocked to find out today that one of my best friends had broken up with her boyfriend of over a year. From the time I've known her, I believe this has been one of her longest, and most serious relationships so she was quite devastated today. I'm lending her an ear tonight as soon as she finishes work...

... so I looked over her transits to see what was bugging her. I've only been seeing good transits so far - so what the heck??? She currently has Pluto trining her moon and there's an upcoming sextile with her sun. Neptune will be conjuncting her sun and mercury soon (She's Pisces sun and rising - 12th house. Mercury in Aquarius) and sextiling her Moon (Taurus).

So why is it that something bad like this happened to her? Ok, rationally, I could just say, "Shit happens" but I do wonder what's going on. Could it be alternate interpretations of this aspect? While I was researching Pluto trining the Moon in CafeAstrology, it mentioned:

"Your support system (family, home, those who give you nourishment) becomes more secure. You are able to dispense with some of the inessentials and develop what is most basic and true in your environment. You encourage better support."

Could it be that her now ex-boyfriend is one of the "inessentials?" I mean she did mention in the past that the relationship was stagnating -_-

Anyway.... any thoughts regarding why bad things happen during "favourable" transits?

Well, you do say that she is the one who did the breaking. So that could very well be a good thing for her....

It is possible you are missing something???  Did you check the angles? is this permanent?

She didn't do the breaking. It was her bf that broke up with her though my previous conversations with her had a notable disappointment in her tone because for some reason the relationship seemed to have reached a plateau. She also had some trouble almost "reaching" him or seeing eye to eye in the relationship.

    Elsa:

I used the chart in astrodeinst in equal houses. The only definite transit is a Pluto trine Moon. The other transits I assumed were upcoming as they had that "apostrophe"-looking thing above the transit signs.

There were no major transits to her Venus.

How do I check the angles?

And I am not sure if the breakup is "permanent." All I know is that she's quite devastated over it :(

Saturn is in Virgo opposing Pisces, what degree is her sun or rising? Perhaps there is something there?

If you put the chart up... that would be easiest. :)

what houses are the planets in?

Also, since he broke up with her...it might be on his end, not hers, and maybe it's not a permanent break-up?

Although, Pluto transits are about control, so even a nice aspect could still be hard? er I'm thinking that them not seeing eye to eye could still be a control issue

I just spent a week in a seminar with Steven Forrest learning all about INTENTIONAL transits & how bad things, or seemingly bad things can happen during a so called "good" transit. I would agree that the Pluto/Moon thing is the key here, that there is Pluto (truth) work that needs to be done- unfortunately with Pluto, though, very little of it is "good", although the trine makes it easier (to occur, but just as hard to handle) than other aspects, I guess.
