Bank failures slips past 100 for 2009 (Told ya so)
posted 4 months ago in News and Current Events
there's also a ton of mergers happening. the step right before failure is selling to someone who still has cash... if the bank still has enough value....
Failures @ 120 now:
A California-based bank that focused on the Chinese-American market was the largest of five failures on Friday that cost U.S. taxpayers more than $1.5 billion.
United Commercial Bank of San Francisco, whose parent company was UCBH Holdings Inc.<span class="quotepeekbase bgQuote down"><span class="bgChannel"> , was shut down by federal banking regulators late Friday, along with four other banks. The shutdown of the five banks brings the number of bank failures for 2009 to 120.
Elsa..I'm definitely not a financially aware kind of guy except maybe in the larger sense. It seems like the cascade effect, doesn't it? And with Pluto in Capricorn (especially squaring Saturn and opposing Uranus) won't that cascade effect roll over big business, as well? The square driving the little guy out of business and the maybe not so little. Politics as we know it now could crumble and all of it could happen in the blink of an eye. (Saturn/Uranus) always a dangerous combination. The need to be free vs the need to contract.
And no one has witnessed Pluto in Capricorn for 270 years. It should open some eyes, eh? Big time...
I know alot are failing, but a couple of "new" banks have popped up around here - I don't know what to make of that
I probably should google them - I still feel we all could be closer to burying our money in our backyards sooner than we think!
"The FDIC's quarterly banking profile, which analyzed data from 8,099 federally insured banks, reported that 552 financial institutions, with combined assets of $345.9 billion, were on the government's problem list at the end of September, up from 416 with $299.8 billion of assets at the end of June. That means roughly 7% of all U.S. banks are on the list and face a higher probability of failure.
FDIC officials don't disclose the names of banks on the list, in part because it could lead to bank runs."
Well, I've lived through one credit crunch already in the early 1990's. I was a teenager, and my family wasn't affected, but seeing what went on around me I became extremely careful with money. My partner (really, "boyfriend" seems lame at this age), also a teenager, saw his family bankrupt, and has really planned his whole life based on that experience, going for the most "anticyclic" career possible.
BTW, the biggest bank to fail here held 30 % of the markets alone. It fell with transiting Saturn sitting directly on Venus of the country's natal chart on September 19th 1991. So, I have a bad feeling especially on that Saturn square hitting the US Venus, incidently around September 20th 2010...
OMG - Watch them swell and shrink:

Bank failures slips past 100 for 2009]
My bank failed in 2007 (tag - Netbank) and I knew a few things immediately. First that I was getting an early heads up as to what was going to happen on a larger scale as I almost always do and second that this is a great fortune.
Based on that, I will tell you this regarding Pluto in Capricorn, Saturn squaring and the upcoming Saturn-Uranus oppositions: The sooner you get shocked by reality the better off you're going to be.
Who can relate?
