Cancer is the mother that stays home. Capricorn is the father that goes to his office at work. A very old-fashion axis, if you ask me.

Do you find cancers have trouble growing up leaving the nest?

My 70 year old Cancerian mother has never lived alone, and she has been without a man for thirty-five years. She didn't spend a night alone until she was in her sixties, and the children and grandchildren living with her happened to be go away at the same time. She is the nest.

I have a very active Cap/Cancer polarity in my chart.  In fact, when I asked an astrologer about a conflict in my life, she pointed out this polarity.  My question pertained to my intuitive sensitivities.

I have Cap sun conjunct Chiron, 9th house.  Both oppose Uranus in Cancer in 3rd.  My moon is in Cancer, in 3rd (equal house), out of aspect orb.   Add to this the Libra Saturn/Neptune both square to the moon, and Uranus.

I have a highly cardinal energy chart.  I think the cardinal energy is what is controlling and resistent to be controlled by others.  I see this in all four cardinal suns that I know.

As for the crying, I do not cry easily.  I will weep at funerals and sad movies, but that's about it.  (Ruling planet Saturn square moon playing out?)

Most people that I enjoy have Cancer moon or sun.  My mother is Cancer ascendant.  There's a deep understanding and intuitiveness I can share with fellow Cancer moons.  My Aries sun with Cancer moon friend once asked me, "Do you realize you are answering my questions before I ask them?"

My Cancer grandfather lived most of his life in a two generation house.  When my mother married she and my father split the house with him until his mom died.  Then grandfather moved his immediate family in with his father.

This reminds me of this Spoon song
