Love, ASTEROIDS and the Age of Men
posted 3 months ago in Relationships
i apreciate the idea that the asteroids are like "accents" to a chart... they hit notes that create a much deeper image of the "chords" created by more typically analyzed planets. like adding disonance or harmony to a tune we all know.. it just makes things ever more interesting and sheds so much more light!
I don't know much about asteroids myself, but I could think of other things in your chart to explain some of this stuff, too. Although, I mean, it could be overlap. I realize it doesn't necessarily have to be one or the other.
That being said, I am of the opinion that most everything can be explained by the planets and maybe Chiron if you wanna get crazy. Perhaps I am a minimalist.
I also pay attention to asteroids: love 'em!!
So you are dealing with a Scorpio with an Aqua Moon too, right?! So am I! Like you I am patient because I want him. And I tell you something about Juno.
On the night that I met him I was absolutely blown away. No wonder: Venus was transiting my natal Ceres, Juno and Eros in the 5H!
On the night we had sex for the first time he had transit Sun and Mercury conjunct Juno in Gemini in the 7H (!) And Ceres transiting his natal Venus.
Marriage partners? I would say so!
Now all he needs is to get over his commitment angst.
When I first really got into astrology, I read an article on Juno. The bottom line was that Juno was the thing to look at when it comes to partnering. And nothing I've experienced since has made me think otherwise. Not just love relationships, but any partnership. For instance, my Husband and I have synastry full of oppositions, which is hard at times. But his Juno is exactly trining my Moon. I think that's actually one really big thing we have going for us. The best work relationship I've ever had - and it's not said we won't do great things in the future - was to the ex-colleague I told about in the Scorp Moon story. His Juno is exactly conjunct my Sun.
Other asteroids are important too. For instance, my Husband has Sun cazimi Ceres. He is a major feeder.
I have other examples as well.
I have dabbled here and there in asteroids. I've been looking at them again because of stuff with ScorpMoonGuy. He has his Ceres exactly conj my Pluto (which is also conj my Moon which is conj his AC), and my Juno is conj his Sun. My Lilith is conj his Merc.
He is a cautious and reserved guy, and keeps lots hidden in his deep waters thinking no one else would understand. But he is learning I can be trusted with those things, to keep them without judgement of him. He nurtures me. And with the Juno placement, I know he began thinking of me as "partner material" rather quickly.
After just a few weeks or a month at most, he tried to pull a fast one on me, lol. We were sitting on the couch watching a movie, my daughter was in bed for the night. I was wearing a ring on my index finger on the hand he was holding. He began playing with the ring, then slid it off my index finger, onto my ring finger, then onto HIS pinky finger! Ummmmm HELLO! I gasped and looked at him and he just put the ring back on my index finger and continued on like nothing had happened! Silly boy! Like I wouldn't notice.
I've been very aware of the importance of asteroids ever since I started to seriously research my chart. My Ceres/Mercury exact is the most obviously important in my chart, but my Venus/Vesta exact is also very compelling, esp since my BML is in Scorpio ;)
I was reminded only today of the importance of asteroids in synastry, when I discovered that my Eros is almost exactly conjunct the Man's BML in Aqua - my Amor is only 1Ëš away too.
My own BML in Scorp is only 9Ëš away from his Scorpio Saturn too ;) and boy have I been the Saturn figure in the relationship. And it's only 1Ëš away from his Scorp IC ![]()
Rant, you've missed most of the saga of the Man, but this was a 23yr or so relationship (with gaps!) with a charismatic younger Leo man with a Gen Venus and Aqua Moon: a charming but very detached, very promiscuous, very selfish party animal, and completely averse to 'settling down'. We are barely compatible in any way, and totally incompatible emotionally, but over all those years were unable to stay away from each other due to the sexual pull. Whatever else was going on, the sex was always terrific, inc last year; and in bed we do find some truly deep connection which is REAL
i'm really enjoying everyone accounts of asteroid involvement.. for someone like me who needs to know the EXACT DETAIL, the nuance of asteroids is very alluring.
so.. i just looked up my eros placement for the first time. 11th house scorp, conjunct uranus (and the scorps neptune), sextile moon........ hmmm. part of my grand water trine with ceres/nessus in cancer 7th, and pholus in pisces 3rd. i need to look up pholus again, and find a better interpretation of nessus aside from "murderous rapist".
the scorps eros is in his 7th house leo, and is the only thing in his chart that doesn't form any kind of aspect to my chart... in his own chart the link it makes is to his saturnRx.
i'm sure i don't need to go into detail about our sex lives.. but suffice it to say, i'm working on it.

I didn't include BML in my previous post..... ScorpMoonGuy's BML is exactly conj my Neptune and AC, ok, not exact but 20 minutes away.
And his Pallas square my Saturn.
My Karma is 1 degree from his Pluto and my BML is 2 deg from his Vesta.
That all happens on 22Lib 23Lib 26Lib 28Lib.
And....just for fun I added in the asteroid bearing my first name. It is conj his asteroid Destiny.

Ceres and the DC, Vesta and the AC.. Juno and the sun/moon midpoint
i pay attention to asteroids. i know not everyone here does. and i know not many of us fully understand them (myself included). but i'm coming to find that they play a more intricate roll in synastry and "flavoring love" than i had ever anticipated.
this has come about firstly because i got the scorps true time of birth. he found his certificate last i was at his place and i was pleasantly surprised to find that my guess on his rising sign was actually true, and i was only off by about an hour. this also stems from Elsa's video blog post on the 7th house and projection in relationships.
i have ceres in my 7th. in cancer. nothing else is there. nothing.
if i like someone, i nurture them. i feed them, cook for them. do anything and everything i possibly can to make them comfortable. but i also look for that in return. i want someone to make me comfortable.. to indulge me with his awesome cooking skills and cater my needs.
my ceres sits exactly upon the scorps DC. i can't help but be compelled to create for him the most extravagant meals i can imagine, to make sure he has anything and everything he needs when we're together, and to show him only kindness and gentleness... taking him into account before myself.
the scorps ceres is conjunct my venus. he does all the same for me.
his vesta sits exact my AC. he goes to great lengths to make his home comfortable for me.. he won't even invite me over unless he has spent days cleaning to rid the place of as much cat dander as possible.
then we have juno. our junos are conjunct (by a few degrees). his juno is exactly at my sun/moon midpoint. for an aqua moon with venus/uranus, there is a lot of turmoil i find between his need for independence and his effort to bring me in.
i don't know if i'm just imagining things, or if i'm blowing tiny actions out of proportion, but i have to assume that if both ceres and vesta manifest themselves so well, then so must juno.. no?
this is why i am patient. juno is why i am waiting for him. because in any other circumstance, i think i would have given up a long time ago. but i know it's there, and time and devotion will show it.
is this just another one of my neptune dilusions?
how do the asteroids play out in your love relationships?
