ok i know this is reeeally basic...  but how do you know what your chart ruler is? is it the planet that governs your sun sign?

so, does this mean that some people go through really long cycles while others aren't as long? like, a moon-ruled person would go through quick cycles while a pluto person won't even get through all these cycles... ?

little lou are you cancer ASC? if so, then yes you are highly influenced by the cycles of the moon, what sign it's in and all that biz.

So does that mean that wherever your ascendant's planet's ruler is at, that is hightly influetnial to your personality?
I have aquarius rising and Uranus rules Aquarius and my Uranus is in Capricorn..in the the 11th house.

But since Uranus is a slow moving planet does that mean that I'll be in one general direction for a while?

just a thought: I'd vote for starting with the house your ruling planet is in, getting very familiar with it and how it 'feels' in your chart, and then study transit stuff. In fact I'd say that about anyone who's ruling planet is an outer planet.

no, i'm a leo ascendant so i guess i'd be affected by the sun.  so i should be going through monthly changes i suppose.

I'm a sun baby too.  I usually feel the biggest change during solar returns (around my birthday.)  Its like getting a fresh battery.

Being a Neptune ruled child, I don't feel change until every 14 years. Sigh:.
