    Toss up between cake & pie, but I picked pie because they can be sweet (peach, apple, pumpkin) or savory like a nice chicken pot pie on a cold winter day!

    @ VA - I'm sure there's a way to make a McNugget pot pie, LOL!

    I picked pie, as I can't have milk or milk products.  That rules out most ice cream (frozen fruit is ok now and then) most cakes and many pies.  I do make a wicked cocounut cream pie and that's my fav, but can only enjoy giving it to others,

    I'm another all the above.  At family gatherings, where all are available, I eat all.  I put a blackberry pie in the microwave to warm, then topped it with vanilla ice cream. Chocolate cake on the side.  After that I had a thin slice of cherry cheesecake.

    As I am a baker at home, and it's mostly sweet things coming out of my oven, I get tired of cake and pie sometimes.

    So I chose ice cream, which I will eat year round, even on a snowy day if I have a craving for it.
