Choosing a wedding date

My man and I have been talking about getting married since the day we met just over two years ago.  I tried to drag him to the jp when Venus was in Pisces last month but there was work and moving expenses and...  So we've moved into this great house with a cool back yard and a barn and lots of friends nearby.  I think a backyard shindig sounds just fine and am looking at April 18th.  It's gorgeous in Georgia in the spring and Venus is back in Pisces and direct then.  John will be back from his trip to Ireland and I will have had two weeks without him here to set everything up without him distracting me.

I like that the ascendant (if we plan for an early evening event) is in Libra and the sun is in the 7th house.  Anyone see anything glaring that makes this a terrible date/time?

     Link to the chart.

eris is conjunct the sun.  that puts eris in the 7th house.

just make sure you don't forget to invite someone who will put a curse on your firstborn.

personally, I wouldn't let that deter me from choosing this date.  forewarned is fore-armed.

you don't have a spinning wheel, do you?

I used to but it broke and I threw it away when we moved last month.

I suppose she is going to be somewhere.  Might as well be out there with the sun where we can see her.  Better there than sneaking around in the 12th.  And there aren't any hard aspects to the sun that day.

I don't normally look at event charts so I don't have experience here, but venus just having gone out of retrograde the day beforehand is glaring at me.

Yes that's why I was looking at that date June.  It slips back into Pisces where it is exalted and is only there for a day before returning to Aries.  I want to get married sooner rather than later so that date appeals to me as opposed to waiting until Venus is in Taurus.

I'm happy for you that you have a great new house after all that crap!   And you can inaugurate it with a happy event like this!

I think you have until the 21st when Mars and Venus conjoin?  But obviously you want a Saturday, not a Tuesday.

Moon in Aquarius seems good for your kinda relationship.    Mars in Pisces (ruler of DC) is like eh but not every planet can be perfect.  Does any of this chart aspect your own charts well, by chance?  I have no idea if that's good astrology practice, but just seems like frosting on top. I love Pisces Venus, I personally think even hard Saturn aspects are good in a marriage chart, and you have the nice mid-Libra rising.  Another thing I perversely like is the 29'02" Aries Sun, which is opposite my 29'02" Libra Sun. :)

Yes, moon in Aquarius is fine for us.  John is an Aquarius sun/stellium in the 1st.  I'm Gemini so the Aquarius and Aries are both good for me.  I think it's kind of a weird wedding chart but it suits us.

I agree the Pisces Mars is my least favorite placement and there are  no perfect skies.

Editing to add John has an Aries moon so that fits in nicely as well.

Heh. Just make sure (a) you invite Eris, (b) you acknowledge her with an "All hail Eris!" WHEN (not if) an ambulance comes screeching by during the ceremony, and (c) don't get too attached to Everything Going My Way Or Else. Expect some imperfections and deal with/enjoy it.

(speaketh Mercury conjunct Eris, chaos follows me all the time)
