my daughter just called, confused because she'd gotten a note from the office (middle school) that she was to skip practice and come home on the bus as she was to meet her cousin Tanner.

she doesn't have a cousin Tanner.  I told her to go to practice.  I called her dad to make sure it wasn't about her cousin Conner, as it's her dad's friday to pick her up.  nope.  he just thought I was insane, as usual.

so I called the number for the school, the one my daughter just used, and it immediately connected and I heard someone punching in numbers... I waited till they were done and then said, "hello?"  and a young voice said, "bueno?"  I said, "hello, is this (name of the school)?" and they said, "wrong number," and hung up.  

I called back and an office person answered and they had no knowlege of any of this.  no way to fix it.  so I imagine some other Emma is going to be without a ride this arvo.  *sigh*
