Denver Has More Medical Marijuana Dispensaries Then It Does Starbucks
posted 10 months ago in News and Current Events
The real question is, how is the real estate market cuz it looks like I'm a-movin' to Denver!
I believe it and I'm glad at how far it has come. On a related note, I quit smoking weed today (few hours ago). Quit so i could focus on my job and in turn my life.
Will definitely smoke it in the future but that's a ways off and will only be for special occasions.
sounds like Starbucks needs to sell pot. They could be barrista/drug dealers all with only a high school diploma. Welcome to the USA, where the coffee and pot are both individually specialized. Which columbian blend do you prefer?
quit being snarky josi
ok..
it's just as well. I love coffee and pot and if Starbucks sold both and I only had enough money to buy one it would be a terrible situation.
Not hard to believe, as I too live in Denver and pass at least 400 of them every day lol I am more surprised taht the Westword hired a dude to review the quality of the pot!! Jeez!! Yeah, "medicinal" MJ, I'm *sure* ;) I'm 31 and have kids, and I can't tell you how many folks I know have said "I got a hookup, if you want some." I hear they have drs in the dispensaries who, if you go in and *cough* and say you have depression or insomnia, will "prescribe" some for you :)
Just call a spade a spade. Everyone was smoking it before, and they're all smoking it now. It's the crack and the meth and yes, even the alcohol that make people bonkers -- that make people do violent things or negligent things like kill people while intoxicated. Pot heads? Please. A menace? HARDly. Legalize the shit and tax it while you're at it. If I liked to smoke, I'd pay an extra 12 cents for the privilege of lost stigma...would solve a lot of debt problems in government...just sayin ;)
And in tangential news, LA decided a couple years ago to crack down on a bunch of them. So we are still more wired than stoned, but that's because we are all about image - I swear to you there are people who would rather deal illegally than actually look like stoners, but are happy to be SEEN going in and out of the Starbucks.
This. This is a strange city.
Of course, my back east friends would think it strange that you can walk down the street and buy pot. In a store. Legally. I dont' notice that so much any more since I'm not living with someone who wants to do so.
