My aunt (with a big old Leo stellium) just asked me if I have a blog like both of my sisters.  This made me chuckle because I have long noted that Leo + blogging go together like peas and carrots.  My Leo stellium sister has been obsessively blogging since blogging existed, and my other sister (Mars in Leo) just started doing it.

I've been on Live Journal for years and my two most frequently-updating friends, the ones who post every day about what they've got going on, are both Leo Suns.   I tend to only comment on other's blogs- I never update my own.  This is why I like Facebook and Twitter- I can kind of keep up on everybody else without maintaining my own narrative.

How about you?  Do you regularly post a public journal?   Do you have personal planets in Leo?<!--Session data-->

I have been blogging for almost 9 years, but I have nothing in Leo.  My third house Leo is empty as can be.  But my chart is Mercury ruled, and Leo *is* in the third, so you know.  There's a little bit of influence there.

    Venus in Leo, 12th

I had a blog for 2 years or so, detailing a relationship I was in, very psychological and pretty dark. No pictures!

    Eventually deleted it.

For a few months I had an astrology blog but stopped when I started writing other stuff (plays)

I also like Facebook...for a little while I was writing "notes" on there, kinda like blogging, but stopped.

Part of me feels the urge to document every little thing. But then I don't. Not sure why this is...

You are making me think about this though...

I alternate between blogging and lurking.  I assume it's my Gemini sun stellium fighting it out with Scorpio moon/asc.

nope to both - sun in gemini in 8th hs is far too busy making sure all those bloggers have enough disk space and the servers are tip top to bother with writing down writing down every bleeping thought.

My niece has a blog and she too has venus in leo in the 12th. - she is also an art teacher,  But she also has leo rising

I have had a Livejournal for 10 years, holy cow has it really been that long?! Most of it is my self-indulgent, weepy woe-is-me stuff. It's mostly for personal release. I type faster than I write and plus I like imagining people actually read my crap. LJ is my BFF.

I've been blogging since 2000. Mercury in Aquarius, moon in Leo.

blogging for 6 years but I rarely talk about myself on 1 blog; I do on my "I'm sick" blog but don't update that one that often. Mercury in Scorpio. I have PF in Leo, that's it.

Been blogging on astrology for close to three years now. some personal stuff, some for astrology business (posts on lunations, synastry stuff, etc) and it's a challenge sometimes to keep it going. All astrology related though.

Have no Frikkin idea how Elsa does. she's amazing.

Saturn conjunct Pluto in Leo in the 9th . . . yeah, not blogging for the fun of it or personal catharsis. Mercury conjunct ASC

I started blogging about 2 years ago. I got inspired. I've kept a journal consistently for many years, and taken huge breaks from it,too.

Wrote a lot when Pluto was exiting my 12th House and then one day woke up and erased all my posts...put up a picture and an email address, too. not my real name though (I didn't have my full name when I was on facebook). I kept them in word format though, because that was my journal.

After I erased my blog I decided to reinvent it as an artwork blog. but i am back to personal-astro blogging...plus my camera doesn't take decent pictures anymore.

I too have kept journals, pretty much all my life.  But I always destroy them.

I've wanted to blog, but my need for privacy hinders that aspiration.  Even a pseudonym doesn't seem to be enough. I still may try it . . . . eventually.  Probably about the time absolutely no one does it anymore and they've all moved on to something new.

I used to blog regularly but I found it very difficult to sustain, especially once there were regular readers. It became more of a chore than a pleasure so I stopped. I think Elsa is amazing to keep going the way that she does, the quality and quantity is awesome, and something I know I could never ever do.

That said, I do keep a private journal mostly as a memory aid to record important facts or conversations, as I have a SHOCKING long term memory so its good to be able to refer back. I often read back and think gosh I don't remember THAT happening/being said.

Do you guys like one blogging site better than others?  I'd like to get your recommendations.

Crackers - I  think wordpress is the gold standard but a lot of people use blogspot.

Thanks Elsa!  In case anyone else is interested, here is a link to an analysis comparing Wordpress to Blogspot.  Appears to be a very current analysis.

I have blogs currently on both WP & Blogger and like them both. Blogger is much easier for non-techies. WP is wonderful if you are fairly knowledgeable about code & such.

for a hosted blog service, i'd suggest wordpress; blogger is okay, but wordpress is more flexible. for a self-hosted blog, i'd also suggest wordpress. if someone has specific questiosn about doing something in wordpress, you're also welcome to message me and i'll help if i can. :)

I've lost track of how many blogs I have. An old journal site and Livejournal, one vox journal for astrology, three (being updated, I have more than this that are not being updated) blogs on TypePad...and other ones that got abandoned.

I used to have a blog for about six years (from 2000 - 2006). I once set up my own blog through Movable Type back in 2000 - 2001 and then switched to Livejournal throughout the rest of the time. I actually have a blog up now, but it only has one post. I haven't been able to thoroughly solidify the purpose of my blog.

I have a Mars-ruled chart with my Mars in Leo. So yes... I'm a bit of  drama queen and I am told that I tend to exaggerate things. It doesn't help that I have Jupiter conjuncting Leo (hehe!).

I got in trouble once for blogging, however, and it's what put me off to blogging. I made my Livejournal completely private around 2003 and eventually my posts whittled down to nothing. I just left altogether.

I Twitter on a regular basis now and I'm STILL looking to get back on the blogging world, but I think I'm going to pick a subject matter that I'm most passionate about. Blogs nowadays aren't particularly personal although I still like putting a personal twist to mine (Aries Aries... ME ME ME!). I am working on reinventing my career persona anyway so it likely has to do with something career-related.

Jessica - What denotes a 'personal planet'??  maybe I should just bury myself over on the beginner pages.

    Yes, I have several blogs.

Hey DreamsAreality - good question.  I think it means Sun, Moon (yes I know, not planets), Mercury, Venus or Mars.  The "inner" planets.

    So, do you have Leo?

I love all you bloggers, but few of you mentioned your Leo, or lack thereof!

Moon in Leo in the 6th. Leo DESC. Uranus in Leo. Mercury in Aquarius. I do blog, faithfully at least once a day. I've not been at it that long, but enjoy it. :)

I have Leo Sun (9th), Leo Jupiter (9th), Leo Mars and Pluto (10th), and Leo MC.  Yikes!  But I have not ventured far into anything on the 'net, most probably because my Scorpio Moon and Asc. definitely want privacy and I hate to give that up.  In the last few months however I have started a blog with a colleague I've never met in person, work related, and though I still feel unsure about putting stuff 'out there,' I think I'm starting to get the hang of it.

The only other place I even send comments to is here at the Elsa blog.    I think if I knew with absolute certainty that I could remain unidentifiable, I'd do more but I'm a chicken (albeit a shiny one)!

In addition to the Scorp stuff, I live in a very small community where everyone knows everyone else, and I do like to keep my 'business' to myself, as a wise astrologer once identified in my chart.  I'm such a weirdo/recluse/hermit sometimes.

Wow, I just found this!  *laughs*

I've got Leo Sun-Merc, and I've been blogging since before there was blogging.  Srsly.  I had a Geocities page that I would update with my ramblings, rants, and observations back in '96, which is basically the same thing as personal blog nowadays.

Either that or the Sun-Nep trine is blinding me again.
