What is the main purpose?

Is it public? Private? Willing to share a link? ;)

I had a blog/personal journal/rantspace on Xanga, but I haven't updated it in years.  I do my verbal vomitting on paper now.  ;)

I have files on my computer of all my writing - not anything public / online anymore. A mix between personal journal and creative writing.

I have sun, Mercury and Jupiter in Gemini.  I have multiple blogs.  :)  The most personal one is linked here.  It's the only one that is semi-active at the moment.

I've kept a blog for about 8-9 years now. It's been a way for me to blow off emotional steam and get some things aired out for me (Pluto sq. Mercury). I realize it's also a historical record of my emotional life, as I blogged through most of my marriage, my divorce, and into now with my "new" life. I don't see stopping any time soon, even though I have other outlets for my writing.

Most of it is public, though I have some of the entries locked to friends only for sensitivity purposes. 5th house Mercury has a hard time writing well without a potential audience.    http://lunasolaris.livejournal.com

Yes I do. You can find it on my profile. I haven't been writing for the last two months and now that I don't have internet at home, I'm blogging less (but journaling more).

The purpose is to dump what I need to during this Pluto/Moon transit. I had a blog of the same name during my Pluto/ASC transit and it was incredibly cathartic.

Yes... I write normally when I'm aggitated, angry or upset. My blog posts aren't angry though; more just insightful, passionate and expressive. I like what I write :) My most recent one was when I had anxiety about my relationship.

It's accessible, but I only typically provide links when I'm writing about something more generally and less personal to me. I think its weird that people would want to read about me talking about my feelings, lol.

@Newsl4ng - I was always very self-conscious about my writing precisely because it was about my feelings. My friends finally dragged it out of me and shared and they really liked it. So yeah...

I have a blog. It's more like little bits I write down when I need to. It's public but I never tried to get "readers".

@egiyablu I like that you include poetry as means to express yourself as well. That's awesome, good for you for being open to the idea of writing about your feelings. Writing IS my outlet. My desktop has tonnes of documents full of scattered thoughs... I love it!

I was just thinking today if I should have one. :D Venus/uranus with the fixed trine. Haven't decided yet. Saturn in libra. :P

@newsl4ng - I'd like to be a writer so I definitely need practice and I agree - Its also like you said, very good for expressing emotions so I don't keep things bottled up.

I keep a poetry blog.

I guess the main purpose is to get my writing up and out there for those friends of mine (or any other random person, I guess) who might be interested in reading it. I primarily write cinquains with the occasional haiku.

I started it in 2010 when I was participating in National Poetry Writing Month and writing a poem a day. I thought having to post them somewhere would help me stay on track with that. After that I periodically posted random poems I'd written. I haven't been doing very much of late as life has been a little challenging.

Technically it is not private (I have the link in my profile here), but I can't say it's very busy with traffic, especially since I haven't put up anything new in a few months.
