Do you have a Nine of Swords story?

Nine of Swords
I voted missed opportunity to discover more, but I don't think you've missed your opportunity. You're still in it I think.A man wakes from a nightmare, nine swords on the wall. It can be a good thing to find what you seek, except when it comes to ideas, words or problems. Find too many of them and they will overwhelm you. We all know this card, it is the one where we wake up at night and go over our troubles, problems, worries, thoughts, what we said, what others said. The Querent must be told that while their problems may be real, they're blowing them out of proportion, making them worse, nightmarish. They are spending too many sleepless nights alone and awake with these words, ideas, problems. What they are really seeking is to wake from this bad dream - which they can do by realizing that it is a bad dream - most of it is in their head.
thanks, old.
it's funny, the more I'm reading about this the more ironic and taunting it becomes. Obsession over obsession... Maybe I should ignore it for another couple weeks. (i kid... i kid... in case the spirits are watching over my shoulder as I type...)..... bahaha
personally, nine of swords represents stimulants. Not being able to sleep even though your body is exhausted because you drank toooooo much coffee and your mind is flippin like a super sonic rolodex. or its that one compressed memory of the year you were hooked on speed and you lived in that apartment with the hole in wall with that sleazy guy who stole all your cds. or its that upper level chinese politics class you tried to take too early in the morning where the entire grade hinged on the paper you didn't start writing until 4 am the day it was due.
i had the 9 of swords come up for me today along with the 5 of wands w/ respect to the future positions in the spread... i saw it as feeling anxious or nervous b/c there are many people doing their own thing with their energy all around... were there other cards that fell with your 9 swords? sometimes when i get repeating cards its not only one but rather a few of them...
There is almost always a theme when I read cards. Sometimes it's just the energy of the day, sometimes it's a message for me.
If you want to read effectively, you're going to need to put aside the nagging worries and the things that make you jittery. You'll have to calm your energy and ground and set your mind aside a bit. I suspect that's the message of the 9 of Swords for you at least in part. I think your cards would like to be used and they'd like you to chill out and enjoy it.
Also, keep in mind that the deck is a tool. It's good to let it have some character or personality but remember that it bends to your will, not the other way around.
Usually, I get 9 of Swords when I'm being stressed because I have to do this, this, this, this, and this and am constantly planning out what has to be done next. Sometimes I'm still in this state before going to sleep, and I have trouble getting to sleep. All I did was calm myself down and chill, even for a little while. It went away, and I got better sleep.

About a month or two ago, I moved my tarot deck. I hadn't touched it in a long while. It had been sitting around on my desk in the computer room for ages, but for whatever reason I wanted them in my room that day so I plonked them down atop my dresser. The top card flopped over, of its own accord, and I stared at it. I was seeing things. Obviously. Just like I sometimes hear my phone when it isn't ringing, or, when fuzzy lights hang around the edges of my vision. Illusion. Saturn conjunct Neptune shit, or a breeze, or something. But being a Pisces I stared at the card suspiciously anyways. Huh. Whatever. I went back to hanging out with the boyfriend.
"A card flipped over when I moved my deck."
"on its own?"
"yes."
"which one?"
"the nine of swords."
"What does that one mean?"
"I can't remember."
And that was that. I eventually shuffled the card back into the deck and left it for another couple weeks, forgetting entirely about what happened. A few days ago, in a pang of wistfulness brought on by all of the recent Tarot readings, I began shuffling my own deck. (I may have once been referred to as superpisces (shout out to moonp
) but I also have strong capricorn and if I have all the tools I need to get a psychic fix, I'm gonna go for it!)
So I did some readings. Lah lah. But I get interesting answers, answers that seem to make a lot of sense to me. And it's not that they didn't before my hiatus but now - now it's weird. You know... Where it shouldn't really be that weird, that consistently? So I try it again tonight, to see if anythings changed. Apparently not. Although this time the Nine of Swords came back. It came up in 4 readings out of 5, fell out of the deck twice, and when I abruptly stopped shuffling and cut the deck mid-shuffle just to be a prat, it was the goddamn nine of swords there, too!
I actually said out loud to myself. Or to whoever. "Okay okay! Nine of swords! I'll go ask the boards or, something."
Is it ridiculousness? If you do tarot, does this stuff happen often to you? What did it end up meaning, if anything? Should I stop reading so much into it? I know enough the dangers of obsessing but I also have neptune conjunct saturn as my closest aspect. I never know what to think of these things!! (I wrote this before I start looking up on the 9 of swords, because I wanted to ask my questions while I'm still wondering them.)
