This could just be my mood today (t. Moon in Virgo is semi-sextile my 8th House Saturn) but this doesn't upset me. Meaning--I wouldn't mind being the body viewed in a drive through.
I'm sorry if this offends anyone!
(The truth is, I'm getting cremated because it's cheaper---$3000 in my city as opposed to many more thousands for a burial).
Some people want to be catapulted in to space, others buried at sea ... so why not a drive through viewing. It's not my speed, however. :P
"The funeral home is in Compton"
I agree with Jennifer.
I think the location explains a hell of a lot about how someone came up with the idea to do this. If it's a somewhat common problem where you live that people can't go to a funeral without a genuine fear of getting shot at, a drive-through funeral parlor starts sounding like a practical idea.
I wouldn't care for it, but I don't live in an area where people get shot at funerals.
Thanks for the clarification, Jennifer...Context makes a big difference, eh?
Still...especially in the wake of recently hearing about the ongoing Cook County (Chicago) Morgue and Potter's Field debacles...

Virgo Moon/Cappy rising is appalled!!
Do we really not have the time to pay respects to our loved ones? Is this even respectful?
There is evidence Neanderthals carefully prepared and buried their loved ones. Now I guess we just leave them in the wake of our exhaust and perhaps with a squeal of the tires.
Personally, there is no way I would be laid out in a drive through, and if that's the kind of respects people want to pay, then I rather just skip the whole thing.
