the region of the south pacific that saw the samoa tsunami last week got hit by a triple shot of eathquakes over 7.0 last night (a doublet and a big aftershot.)  another tsunami went off...

    a little one, thank goodness.

now, i watch earthquakes... got a degree in geology and just like to keep a finger a bit on the pulse, and for the past month there's a been a noticeable uptick throughout the pacific rim (and a couple of weird little ones in the continental us).  i'm wondering if there's anyone out there who can connect astrocartography to events that might connect to this...

it's a part of the world that loaded for bear with seismic instability, but the patterns of pressure build up and release are anything but regular...

my first guess is to connect it with pluto going direct and some of the following aspects (the t square?)  after all katrina happened three days before a direct pluto station.  but someone with more experience with analyzing events might have a better idea what might be of interest.

As long as the New Madrid stays quiet I'm OK but I know someone going to the far east/ south pacific in a couple weeks.

I've heard this guy http://www.syzygyjob.com//index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=13&Itemid=27 Jim Berkland on Art Bell's radio show when it was on, and he has predicted quakes based on moon and sun alignment.

tides?  that would make some sense.  water has a huge effect on faults (it's lubrication...)

I too watch earthquakes and go on the geo sites periodically to check and see what's happening. This is too weird and I know I'm really tuned into earth energy because about 3 days before it happened I had a feeling that something big was coming. I kept thinking, "something is going to happen soon," and it did. Although I've never questioned my intuitive abilities now I'm really charged up about it. My radar is up and running at max speed.

My concern lately have been earth changes as I live right on the coast (mid atlantic) and I'm hearing that people need to go 100 miles inland and at least 1,000 feet up to be safe. So now I'm sweating it. I'm only 12 ft above sea level. I got flood insurance but had a dream about a month ago where everything was nice and dry and then this wave came in all of a sudden. Except for hurricanes and Nor'Easters we've never had a problem with flooding that threatened the house but this wave was like instantaneous. Never had a tsunami around here that's been documented, but hell whose to say it can't happen?

the atlantic ocean is spreading.  it's what's called a passive margin.  no subduction zones.  the pacific, on the other hand, is the ring of fire, due the all the continents running over the ocean plates.  i wouldn't worry too much about tsunamis on the atlantic coast.  there's just not the setup for the that kind of earthquake.

the carribbean, on the other hand, is a little bit more complicated....

Nothing to add here except admiration!  I took 2 Geology classes to fulfill my science credits, and they were TOUGH!  I tried my hardest but couldn't grasp jack in the Physical Geology class.  I had an old, grumpy (George Carlin-like) professor but he looooooved me because I brought him all kinds of rocks from Arizona when I went for Easter.  Particularly some Apache Tears still embeded in the Perlite matrix.
