    Have just found out that I have Fixed Star Spica conjunct Ceres. Ceres is in Libra in the 5th house and it conjuncts Juno and Eros.

    Supossedly Spica is the bringer of good luck???

    I am 43, single, no kids and exteremely unlucky in love.

    Anybody know the answer to this one?

    From what I understand, one should only allow up to 2 degree orb for fixed stars.

    Also, an aspect doesn't exist in a vacuum; the entire chart should be considered.

    :)

    I agree with Jilly, you have to look at the whole chart.

    It's hard to interpret the star without understanding what you mean by unlucky!  Maybe you were lucky from having escaped relationships that would have been horrible for you!  Maybe it's a good thing you didn't have kids ... so hard to know.

    from my perspective, the asteroids must have aspects to other planets for their effects to be felt (first off), as well placements in relation to fixed stars do need to be within 2 degrees..  i have lilith exactly conjunct spica, and pluto less then a degree a way.  pluto/lilith is sextile neptune and semi-sextile uranus.  none of these aspects are IN YOUR FACE.. but rather they speak to the general flavor of my life and who i am (rather than the with the particularity and force attatched to my other placements that involve inner planets and stonger aspects).

    but that being said, i do believe spica imparts a certain degree of luck.. which isn't to say i'm lucky all ways, but deep beneath it all..  i know she is pushing for me.

    do you have any aspects to ceres, juno or eros?  does your nuturing nature, you commitment or sexual prowess show up in other facets of life that AREN'T relationship orriented?

    @Gemster, Spica could give you plenty of opportunities. But your will could block them all.

    Think about it. Where is your Saturn (as a planet of restrictions and limits) situated btw?

    Here is another way to look at it gemster (and I agree with Bella). What are you doing with your thoughts and emotions that is keeping the relationship that you deeply desire away? Are you brooding over something that happened in the past perhaps? Perhaps Spica conjunct Ceres and Juno is "waiting in the wings" for you to access it. Our charts only indicate potentials. It is up to us to access those potentials properly.

    @mahchi

    No, I didn't escape it. I had to sit there and listen to my ex Cancerian telling me that in the 16 years that we were toghether he was a sex-addict for 8 years. The only thing I escaped was a STD (spica?). He didn't.

    @rantares113

    Hello fellow asteroid lover!

    Yes, I am a Gemini Rising. Sun and Mars in Gemini in the 1st house. Mercury in Gemini cusping on the 12th. Venus in Cancer (nurtering!) within the degree cusping on the Ascendant.

    So Juno, Ceres and Spica in the 5th are trining all my Gemini in the 1st! I am very relationship oriented.

    @Bella

    I have Saturn in Aries in the 11th House

    @Wizron

    I am visualising, telepathizing my love -interest Scorpio to stop drinking. And his daughter from stopping to commit suicide.

    My thoughts on this are that Ceres conjunct Spica would produce a positive relationship with the mother. That is obviously speculation without knowing the condition of the Moon in your chart. But, even if your Moon squares your Pluto and Mars in the house of the mother, Ceres conjunct Spica could help a bad relationship from being worse.

    Ceres has a reputation in the charts I have done as a malific, and a powerful one at that. Being set in the house of children and in the sign of relationships would not be an indicator of happiness in this area. The problem with the question, however, is that the asteroids and fixed stars should be considered only after the lights and planets. These should add texture and song to the meat of the horoscope to fill in the blanks, so to speak.

    Sorry, that can't be it.

    I call my mother Serpent and have not spoken to her in 11 years. She stalked me for many, may years with hatemail and dumped my childhood belongings and paintings on my doorstep in the rain. The only way Ceres conjunct Spica woul save me from an even worse relationship with her is that it probably prevented us from muderering each other.

    My Moon is in Taurus in the 11th house. My friends are my mothers and I am called ' Mother' by my friends.

    @debdeb

    Astro.com is a great website for that. Simply scroll down and click on ''add some fixed stars'' in the Additional objects section on the right.
