i don't know much about fixed star energy..  just that Spica is suppose to protect any planets in proximity from vie combusta (which i'm not to sure about either). i know this because i have pluto less than a degree away.  but also, my sun is at Acrux and my moon in at AlKaid, each within a degree as well.  i've researched the history and mythology of these stars, but am still at a loss as to how they relate to astrology. the fact that i have these placements in relation to my sun, moon and pluto (which is damn close to my MC) seems to lend itself as something i should take note of...  but what am i noting?

i've found this to be an interesting site that lists each and it's potential force:

but still..  how does one relate these things?

I don't know. I think my Moon/Venus/south node are conjunct Algol, but I can't remember. I need to get more sleep. :/ I remember realizing a  couple of years ago, that I'm always waiting for the knife to come out, as I told someone else. Even with perfectly lovely people, I was still waiting its arrival in my back.

I believe in them, but only use conjunction aspects. Natally I have Spica exact on my asc conj Saturn less with than 1 degree orb. My jupiter conj Acrux exact (less than 1 degree). I think the description of how those fixed stars influence on the planets and angles has proven right to me.

But I'm very interested in one aspect I still don't understand. I have a very tight (less than 0.30') conjunction of Mars in Sagittarius (my 7th ruler) with the star Antares.

@rantares113, how do you feel those aspects in your chart. Spica on pluto, sun on Acrux etc?

I hate this because I have Algol conjunct my Venus/PoF. So I am so doomed.

OK, if I'm ever going to get rich, it'll be through spoil and plunder. I should also get some unreliable associates to rip me off or stab me in the back. Political success is at my fingertips, but it wil cost me my head. I should ride at the head of an invincible horde. I'll have no problems understanding astrology. Women will be a problem. I'm on Gabriel's payroll. The door to the other realm is open. I'll be punished cruelly. There will be blood and cruel Islamic troublemakers. I'll have unjustified enemies and injury from beasts. I may die in a mass extinction event, but at least I'll die adventurously. Currents of fate will irreversibly change my pace of life. I'll be successful  and lucky with weapons of war, achieving brief fame, only to lose it in a scandal. So, what else is new?

Actually, there were quite a few connections to real life in many of the descriptions, though I'm still waiting for the vengeance of princes. Hopefully, I'll become extinct first.

Al Kaid/moon:  i have always had a morbid fascination with natural disasters.  even now as the valley drains and all the destruction is left, i am disturbed but also mildly amused.

Spica/pluto:  there is something within me that i have always felt lent my life to a bit of devious fortune..  i am always given what is needed on the deepest and most profound level, both good and bad.

Acrux/sun: "interest in astrology, spirituality and metaphysics"  ..uh, yeah!!!

In my head, I read the title of this in the same way someone might read: "English, motherfucker. DO YOU SPEAK IT?"
