In my own little system I have generally looked to someone's venus and jupiter placement and sign for gift suggestions for them.

Father's day is coming up and the Afanasy is not my father nor my child's father but I generally get him a gift because since I have no father now - I feel it is important to honor the MEN in your life.....and value him.

I had this thought that the progressed venus might be a good idea to investigate because I am running out of venus in libra in the second house ideas.

Has anyone any experience in using the progressed venus placement and sign as an indication of something someone might love or enjoy?
