We "finally" have electricity / gas at our new home , so I will be packing up everything and moving over there. Since this is our last few days in this house , and the buyers want to start renovations Feb 1st..... I gotta bust my arse getting the last few items out of here.

If I'm still "here" anytime Tomorrow (Thursday).... it means my computer was last to go.

I'm kinda sad to end my time in this house , but eager to start new adventures in the new house.

Hate "Pergo" floors..... it squeaks and shifts in subtle ways. Really hate how that floor "gives" underfoot as I'm walking on it.

Until then..... keep your powder dry and your horse liqueured up (or is that saddled up?).

Good luck in your new home adventure, it sounds like it will be good for everyone concerned. I actually logged back into EE the day after everything was moved in. I was sitting in the middle of two rooms filled with boxes, in a corner, with my laptop open. I don't know if I was too lazy/tired to start unpacking everything yet, or just wanted to come 'home' in another way before orienting myself in my physical home.

Someone didn't come out from under my quilt for about a week. Her eyes weren't dilated, and her breathing was normal, so I just let her stay under there. Hopefully your pets move over/transition with as much ease as possible.

And I don't have a horse. Hmm, if I did I'd probably just treat him like a really big dog or cat, and never get up the nerve to ride him. Yet horses are usually curious about me, and want to come over and sniff at me. No telling what a drunk horse would do though...   ; )

I won't be online much either for the next week - there will be four of us in the house and the dog, and it's going to be v crowded! In addition my mac battery has gone kaput so I need to be plugged in and that means trailing wires etc, not easy with several people around.

In any event I'll mainly be stuck in the kitchen! they'll be here in a couple of hours - better clear the table... and pop over to the shop!

Yes, I've gotten a horse drunk. We heavily tranqualized my horse so the farrier could work on a bad foot.  However, the horse was too drunk to stand on three feet to be worked on. Ever tried to let a 1200 pound drunk animal lean on you so it could stand on three legs??  Anyway,  the farrier had to return another day.

Can't stay long this time.... one of our dogs got out and is roaming madly (aka: happily running around) around the block. I thought I kept a close eye on him while the cable guy was around.... guess not.

So.... I'll be searching for him the rest of the day , looking into animal shelters and the like. 8-hrs yesterday was tiring.

Plus.... I have to change mailing addresses for everyone down at the Post Office (seems I'm the designated "go-to" guy).

I'll be thinking of you all (and rubbing my eyes).

@Daisy..... neighbors are great!!  Even the one the others think is a Grench (he works 6am-2pm so needs quiet evenings).
