i fell in love in my dreams last night..  really txtbook, with a fluttery heart and blushing kisses.  even my mom aproved..  a chiseled danish boy with dirty blonde hair and wideset green eyes.....  and he got down on one knee too. 

then i woke up to a sneezing fit that resulted in a bloody nose..  all over my bed at quarter to 5.  welcome back to fucking reality. it's going to be a long long day.

I'm actually pretending and deluding myself that it is not Valentine's day. My relationship has not been very uh..romantic..lately. So, I don't want to have any expectations and I don't want it to be Valentine's Day and I'd just like to skip it. Ok?

who chose to make valentines day during aquarius? i mean really. couldn't we have waited for pisces? i guess there was a drop in consumer demand in mid-February that needed to be remedied.

ahh, I love Valentines day!  People are so kind to their loved ones on this day, or I hope they are! A day about love has to be okay, at least with me!

I've also wondered why the most "romantic" day of the year falls in the sign that's the least outwardly romantic of all of 'em.

And I'm happy to be going to work, and hopefully no one asks me about Valentines Day, as they'll get one heck of an earfull. It's historical origins still have not been sussed out to my merc/pluto's needs to know so I'll keep researching it. And I hope that the rest of the year, lovers, and loved one's treat each other just as well as they do today.

I'm driving an hour to my dentist to get my broken molar fixed.  My Mommy had to give me her credit card.  I'm feeling special today!

"There were soldiers in the grocery store buying Valentine stuff," I told my husband. "One of them was behind me in line, he had some flowers with bears for his girl.  I asked him if he wanted to go in front of me in line since that was all he had and you know. Soldiers, I figure, are busy. But he said, no.  He said, you're fine, ma'am," I told my husband on the phone.

"They have love, P!  Love!"

"Yeah."

"Yeah, I remember when I was a soldier and went shopping for you. I was on the red motorcycle and I got you a big ol' heart of chocolate. I was thinking, I'll get this for P!  And wondering how I was going to carry it on the motorcycle.  I was just learning back then."

"About love?"

"Yeah."

I'm taking all my female World of Warcraft chars out to dinner. They get to eat tons of digital chocolate.... and not gain weight!!   But I didn't have enough "V-day trinkets" saved to get them digital flowers.

Ugh. I don't even know what to say. I made V-day cookies for myself and we are watching a romance film in class today. I'm probably just going to start crying and then go to the library and study like a maniac for my midterm tomorrow. Grr.

IT'S OVER!!!!   at least the bulk of it.  tomorrow is just cleanup.  and, aside from one hitch, everything went over splendidly.  i even showed up at the office just in time for PIZZA!

for the first time ever in my life..

a boy bought me flowers. 

yes.  yes indeed he did. 

he works in one of my stores.  and i think he's had a little bit of a crush on me for a while. the other day i told him that no one had ever given me flowers on valentine's day..  he said he'd give me a giant box of chocolates...  i claimed that i would lay in bed for a week just gorging myself.......  he asked for pictures. 

he showed up today while i was putting out the last of the bouquets.  not wearing his work clothes.  it was his day off.  and he hung around talking to me as i rushed in circles shoving roses everywhere i could find. 

then, all of a sudden i turned around and he was gone.  "oh well", i thought..  i'll see him tomorrow. 

5 minutes later he walked back up to me with a bunch of tulips in his hands.. a giant smile on his face.  "now someone has given you flowers on valentine's day."

i almost kissed him right there..  right in front of the stor manager, and the assistant manager and the produce manager and all the straight guys trying to decide which flowers their girl would go for.....

he made my day. 

and THEY ARE MY FAVORITES TOO!!!!!
