Up here in Canadaland we are getting a new "Harmonized Sales Tax" starting on July 1 2010. That's Canada Day, yo! Celebrate your country by being screwed! 

Things/Services that will have an extra %7 tax added to them that didn't before:

-restaurant meals

-haircuts

-childrens' clothes

-funerals

-the portion of price of new homes over $400,000 (many new homes cost more than this, BTW)

Welcome to the Black Market people! I for one will never visit a salon again...I'll be in someone's kitchen.

What kills me is the use of the word, "harmony". ::chortles::

I remember in the days of my youth my Mom & her girlfriends doing each other's hair in the kitchen!  I even had an Aquarian boyfriend who gave me a permanent one time!  What a trooper. 

I don't blame you Kashmiri, I'd boycott all of that if I could.  Aren't the restaruants & funeral homes raising what for w/the guvmt?
