Has anyone planned the Sun Sign of their babies?

I'm assuming that there are as many kids born on purpose as there are by accident. If you planned to conceive, did you try to aim for a birth in a particular sun sign?

Or vice versa! Did you plan NOT to have a certain sign? I know I'd absolutely die (not really, I'd love my kids no matter what) if I had to deal with another Gemini (historically combative for me!), but maybe having some motherly authority over one might be different. :D

I want leo twins.Or Taurus, even Scorpio. Aries too. I dig Virgo and Cancer. I want fixed independent children. Or children who are home all the time. Intellectuals.

I would much rather have intellectual children than athletes.

No geminis for me either, thank you.

I did sort of try to plan it, but it was really more about when I wanted to get pregnant.  However, it doesn't work so well.  I expected him to be a Scorpio but he stayed in extra long, unbelievably long, and turned out a Sagittarius.  He does have a fixed grand cross....stubbornness is an issue. :)

I was so happy to get pregnant the first time (I'd been trying for four or five months) that I didn't care what sign the baby was.  Lo and behold, my only son turned out to be a Capricorn, just like his Dad.

My next two were happy accidents.  They're Sag and Scorpio.

I'm not having any more kids, but I think a Cancer kid would drive me batty.  I had bad experiences with Sun/Moon in that sign.  Interestingly, my baby has her Moon in Cancer, but she's a happy, loving, affectionate kid.  The Cancer Sun/Moons I met as adults were seriously twisted individuals.  JMHO, when this sign goes wrong, it goes really, really wrong.

I have not planned Sun signs but I did impregnate by the Moon sign --masculine for a boy and feminine for a girl--the second time around. I timed my cycle, used Venus and Ceres in my charts, and a feminine Moon sign and sure enough, I got my girl.  Looking back on my son, he was conceived in a masculine sign. The timing is tricky--for instance I would not recommend impregnation if the Moon is moving through the last degrees of the desired sign/polarity because sperm can live in the body for up to 5 days. It works out that half the year you're likely to have a girl, half a boy, because of the way the moon works with your personal cycles. I firmly believe in its efficacy!

Ahem,I am a Gemini and I didn't plan out the signs of my kids.  with my daughter(1st) I did do the numerology on her name. She ended up being a Libra Sun, Cancer rising, with a Pisces Moon.  My son is Cancer Sun (12th house like my sun), Cancer rising, with a Leo Moon.

My Pisces friend did shoot for certain sun signs for her children, she did NOT want a Gemini.  Then she accidentaly got preg the third time and guess what?????  She had a Gemini boy,LOL.

Yeah, what's up with the anti-Gemini vibe in this thread?  I'm a Gemini and didn't plan according to sun sign, but I did get pregnant the first month I was trying and had my daughter three days after my own birthday -- another early Gem.

Neither of my children were planned, but my 2nd daughter's due date was teeter tottering between Virgo and Libra.  I was kinda hoping she'd be a Libra, but she ended up Virgo.  I think her Sadge moon and Leo Venus helps her to be a little more free spirited than the textbook Virgo is made out to be, and her stellium in the 3rd makes her such a chatterbox.  I wouldn't change a thing :)

My first-born is a tripple Capricorn, smack in the middle of Capricorn.  I don't think she had much of a chance to be any other sign.

I'm not planning on having anymore kids, but if I had to choose a sign I'd like my kid to have, I'd say Aquarius, or any of the fire signs.

LisLioness--As a Leo, what was your experience like with a Capricorn child?  How old is he now?

I'm a Leo and I am never at odds with my kids, both earth signs.  They are only 7 and 4 though, lol.  They are both very well behaved, and sweethearts.  I hope to God they continue to be that way.

I have a history of reproductive problems and none of my pregnancies have been successful.  The next time I am pregnant, well I am sure it won't be by accident, and although I don't think I'd plan for a specific sun sign (though I definitely would prefer an Aquarius baby, like myself)  I think I'd probably skip trying in any months where the sun sign could be Libra or Cancer...  I have bad experiences with Cancer men and Libras... I just have too many in my life.. no more... please.... lol

shell, we're very close, even though his Sun/Mercury squares my Moon (Capricorn/Libra).  His Venus/Pluto conjunction (Sag) is trine my Sun, his Moon is in Aries, and his Jupiter is conjunct my ASC (Aries).

He's very smart and is always a delight to be around.  He bugs his sisters all the time and can get overwired (he has Jupiter square Sun/Mercury), but in general, he's a good kid with a good heart.
