Are you a hot head? What pisses you off? Where is your Mars?

I get feisty and pissed off, but I never really let it all out.

The other day I was on line at the cheapie store and there was some confusion. This fat woman in a babushka was behind me and she started complaining loudly about how she lost her place in line and it wasn't fair and blahblahblahblah. Then her little daughter started piping up as well. "What kind of store is this!?"

I am usually the type of person that lets someone like that go in front of me, because "Hey, it's no big deal... we'll all eventually get our turn."

But she was SO DAMN ANNOYING and WOULD NOT SHUT UP that I started fuming on the inside (PMS). The rest of the line was staring in shock as she battled it out with the cashiers who were firm in their decision of how to handle the sudden customer traffic surge.

She was STILL ranting and raving behind me while I was getting rung up. So I muttered to the cashier through clenched teeth, "I would have let her get in front of me but she and her bitchy little daughter are so FUCKING annoying that I changed my mind." The cashier just looked at me sympathetically and kind of rolled her eyes. Meanwhile, I'm thinking, why can't you shut the fuck up and stop talking to the cashiers so they don't end up hitting the wrong keys and screwing up OUR orders?

    You self entitled BITCH!!!

from what I have read ...I am typical mars in taurus... I have a long fuse...however the past couple of years I have been better at expressing my anger , just because if I dont release it..it eats me up:(...I will explode if you attac my family or friends..and I get super pissed at people who are condesending or who underesteemates me....and might get very angry over political or social stuff...I guess that is more passionate than angry really...Most of the time I am the total opposite of a hothead...my mars hangs out in my 12th house:)

Mars in Leo square Uranus and Venus. Mars is my chart ruler and I'm a double Aries to boot.

Because I have a 12th house sun and a Cancer moon, it doesn't always show - but the hotheadedness is very very VERY unpredictable.

patience indeed is a virtue because I do not have any :P

I can be very pissy.  I'm convinced I've underestimated my 12th house Pluto, Saturn, Jupiter....realizing that I'm happiest in solitude =/

So I get annoyed/pissy after being around most anyone for too long of a time.

Throw in Mars in Cancer in the 9th....I just want to fly away somewhere I can be alone and eat some good food.

And of course, it's mostly my fam (mom, dad, hubby....but not my babies) who gets the wrath of my pissiness.

    What about you Kash??

Same as Lunalie- Mars in Leo square Venus and Uranus.    I have extreme internal flare ups that last for less than half a second and then fizzle out completely because I decide they aren't worth it.  Mars is in the 12th (and trine Neptune) so I just do the transcendence thing.  This has not always been the case, this is something that has come with time.  When I was younger I was a terror.

Mars in Sadge & the moon in freakin' Aries.  What can I tell you? I get irritated with the sameness of things.  Or if something doesn't work right.  It would be nice to live where I could just kick the crap out of whatever device is on the fritz.  Some kind of competitive sport is a benefit.  I'm heavily into college football right now.  Going to a game next Saturday.  If they'd let me play, I'd play, even if some mean bastard ran me the hell over.  I played sports when I was younger and it was, in retrospect, an essential  outlet.  I play in a golf league in the summers.  The kicker is I find other hotheaded people to be hilarious.  Other people's temper tantrums crack me up.  These days, you have to really push me to get me riled in a personal interchange situation.  Someone would have to have an abusive attitude or talk down to me.  That I won't sit still for.  However, that almost never happens.  So my Sadge/Aries furies are mostly targeted at all the plastic devices in the world that work for a while and then deserve to be chucked out the window.

I was a huge hothead when I was a kid and sort of grew out of it. Sort of meaning I get pissed off to the point where I vibrate and have to take my clothes off I get hot all over. I just don't scream and yell and break and cut shit.

But I'm not bothered/scared by tempers. I don't like it, but you grow up with it, you get used to it. (Mars and South Node in 4th House, Mars opposed Pluto)

Thinking about it more these days because I'm dating this guy with a stellium in Leo and he is a hothead. He's also smoking hot and I dig him.

A drunk Aries girl told me she was going to punch me in the head 2 years ago and I was mad about it for months. At the time I just said "You can't punch me, you don't even know me" and so she stumbled off.

I was pissed off not because she wanted to punch me (for no reason other than drunkenness) because I was with friends and they would've had to watch me go Medieval on her ass and that would've hurt my reputation. :::brushes shoulders::: Did I mention Aries Mars squares Cap Moon?

heh heh, kashmiri... with my aries venus square cap moon and scorpio mars in the third I have no doubt I'd have stepped into her space and said, "BRING IT."  clearly, of the two of us, you're the smart one.  :D

I voted that I think pissy people are ridiculous and secretly laugh at them, but that's not exactly true. I don't think they are ridiculous, because I get pissy too, plenty of  times, more on the inside than the outside, though. And I don't really laugh at them unless it's really over the top - like the public library patron that refused to get off the computers when his time was up and had to be carried, still on his chair, out of the building by the cops. Okay, that time I laughed.

It depends on WHY someone is pissy. In general, I can only hang out with a pissy person for a certain amount of time, because I find it draining. Draining would be a better word for me, rather than ridiculous.

EDIT: Mars in Leo - maybe I have too much pride to be pissy? LOL.

Rereading, I think I was refering more to my irritability.  I'm not much of a hot-head.  If I do get violently angry, it usually about an injustice of sorts (hehe...those 12th house planets are in Libra).  I can't stand to feel injusticed or to see others injusticed.  It makes my blood boil!

My husband made me so angry once, it was the only time I had every experienced the true meaning of "hot-head".  My head literally started burning, my ears were ringing, I thought I would rip his head off!  Eeek!  And with my Pluto square Mars...you best believe I could!! lol.

I don't really get pissed about petty things though.  My attention span is too short to dwell on petty things.

shell, yeah, that's what I mean too, when I say it depends on WHY someone is hot headed or pissy. Your clarity helped me see more clearly.

I also think the crux of the matter is pettiness. But that is subjective, I suppose. But some people are just always pissed, and that is the type of thing I find draining. Interpreting everything as an offense.

I suppose I've done my share of bitching about putting the towels here and not there, though (just ask my husband). So maybe I'm just a pissy Libra who is hiding. Although, I only have Uranus and Pluto in Libra, which really wouldn't lend itself to being calm and unruffled, lol...

I was looking at what I wrote and how "talking down to me" could be a mistake.  Then I was thinking about my chart.  I have Virgo ascendant and Libra Sun, so I think I come across as being very laid back initially.  It's the fire underneath that people can't see.

A couple years ago, I was at the office and got called into a meeting when it was already halfway finished.  People were on edge, and I was supposed to come in, without having been briefed, and understand immediately what the hell they were talking about.  So to get up to speed, I asked a couple of questions.  This one cat, a guy I'd locked horns with before, started getting hot.  He was acting like I should already have the answers.  I let him get by with it once, but when he started in the second time, I cut him off mid-sentence and let him have it.  Only took about thirty seconds.  If that.  But there was smoke coming off my scorpio tongue.  There were a couple of these old corporate type buzzards in there, and they started laughing.  Then the other guy, the one I'd interrupted, started laughing.  (The type of guy who would just as soon battle as not.)

Still, there were a couple of other people in there who get appalled by exchanges like that.  So I haven't let it happen again, at least not in that environment.  (I'm there to get paid, not hassle with people.)

The same guy went after me another time on an issue.  I just said, real sharp, "Hey Tom?" As if I were about to let it rip.  Then I paused.  Everybody waited.  And all I said was, "Thank you."  Real fast.  It was the best "F.U." I ever did without actually saying it.

Well I am with the majority of "please don't piss me off" people here - especially in the next couple of days when Mars will directly conjunct my sun.     I had to take control of my temper, and did get help with it, or I was for sure going to end up dead or in jail......but boy, do I still do some serious seething.....(I got no Libra - I could use some Libra!!)

notatirem: Yeah a lot of times you really have to transcend your temper. I was a terror too when I was a child but I started keeping the anger inside as a teen... Then the filter flew off and I slowly learned how to manage my anger from 21 up. Tough aspect because people would wonder why, out of nowhere, you just flare up!

From a very young age, the saying about me has been that I don't suffer fools kindly. At all.

Passive aggression irritates me. People that don't listen irritate me. People that don't use their brain irritate me. People that whine irritate me. People that push others around irritate me.

It's a daily exercise to keep my mouth shut, something I've never been good at.

I tend to flare quickly and get over it like nothing happened, though. With people I can be impolite with, I'll raise my voice, hammer the point home quickly verbally, then forget about it.  At work I push things I probably shouldn't. I don't let things that bother me lie and I'm the first one to speak up when I have a problem. I come across as abrasive, though I'm very careful about the words I chose.

Speaking of which, I tend to find that my natural love of words/learning and my large vocabulary makes others think I'm mocking them when I'm not at all. Nothing I can do about it, but....

I've also been told I come across as "cocky" before, but they quickly qualified it with they think it's because I'm very self-confident that I come across that way without meaning to.

I guess everything about me screams "hot head"; my mom used to say I had the tact of a Mack Truck.

Definitely pissy.. it all depends on the situation though as to how I react.

Injustice or cruelty to others or catching someone in a big fat lie will just set me off and usually spout off very aggressively. Passive aggressive people I just have no zero respect for at all.

I have extremely low tolerance for waiting.. like in a line up at the grocery store or bank etc, when the teller is just shooting the breeze or piss assing around. One can still be friendly and professional without holding everyone up. I get very po'ed and embarrassed when I have grabbed something with no price tag and have to hold others up.

I am very much in the Luci mode, with the exception I usually don't forget a real bad incident. So it is all kind of a matter of degrees with me.

I have Mars bang on the AC and can work up some serious fiery (watery? - Cancer) rage sometimes.  But because I'm a Libra I usually keep it pretty tightly zipped up, and it tends to freak people out when I let it loose.

Mars in Leo with Sun, Moon, and Mercury also in Leo
I am a hot head. I also laugh openly at other hot heads sometimes.

When I was a under 13, I used to do all that dramatic stomping feet and slamming doors stuff.

If you piss me off, I can hold a grudge for a few days. I don't do so well with verbal defense (sometimes I can handle it diplomatically, sometimes I'd rather not say anything) but I do well with physical defense.

I don't like passive aggressives, people who treat me like their personal servant, people who try to control me, people who bitch ALL the time (vent every single day), and being asked the same question more than 3 times a week.

You know, on further reflection, I think I'm gonna have to change my vote to

I am a major pissy pants but have Libra and pretend that I'm not.

    SaDiablo

I voted "don't piss me off" only because I'm a major pissy pants but don't hide it with my Libra.  Which is interesting, because I have Mars in Libra (conjunct Venus and Pluto, trine moon!).  *snickers*

I can't hide my moods (or my pissyness).  That's one of the things that annoys the fuck out of me most with other people:  I am a moody person.  I get pissy.  This is not going to change.  But to expect me to hide it because it makes you uncomfortable?  Nah-uh, not going to happen!  What makes you so much more damned important than me, sweetheart?
That being said, though, I'm much better at managing it than I used to be, meaning I no longer throw/break things to back the pressure down.  Unless you reeeeeaaaally piss me off.

How cute is that! I wish I could get feisty instead of temporarely insane with anger. Mars in the first opp. moon in 7/8. I have mars in cancer though so that tones it down a bit!

Not a hothead at all. I get irritable when stressed... and when pushed will speak out. Also get angry at situations/people--  But hothead? Nah. Very patient when it's one to one. Irritation mainly comes from living in a packed, dirty, smelly city...

Mars in Cancer in the 11th. Detatched water? Mars in Cancer is not straightforward.

Sometimes slapping or throwing things is necessary though :)

Leo Rising with mars in the 1st. I can be a bit firey but I think it comes off stronger than I ever feel it. I've had some boyfriends laugh at how quick my temper can be. I rarely get actually angry at a person unless they are attacking someone I love, rarely for the sake of my own ego. About once a year though, if someone is seriously messing around with me I blow up profusely and they try not to cross my path again. I've got mars squaring pluto in the 4th. Mars is sextile my mercury in gemini-- this usually means I give them a load of razor sharp and pointed words to chew on that I didn't even know I had an arsenal of.

I attribute a fairly even keel to Mars placement in Libra, however I've noticed that if I perceive an injustice being done or feel unjustly wronged, there is no limit to my wrath until I feel justice has been served.

Is that consistent with Libra's influence on Mars?

Mars in Virgo in the 4th. I try to be low key about being a hot head. Not as hot now as I was in younger years. THANK GOD.

Hubby says I've mellowed. I save my energy for other things. Plus after doing extensive bodywork I realized I was really addicted to getting angry. It's energizing, it keeps you from rolling over and going belly up.  Now I just save my anger for the really special stuff. Besides, the dogs are very sensitive and I don't want to upset them.

Anger is like seasoning food. Just enough to make it interesting but too much  is overpowering.

I've never apologized for my strong personality. I wear it like a badge of honor.
