How do YOU let go...

In light of Elsa's post, I realized that I transcend in a very Virgo-12th-house way...

    I...

    • make a list of all the things that were not right about the situation
    • record the time, date, and conversation down of whatever problem I am having in order to review it multiple times (and to go back and look for astrological events that might correlate with it)
    • find myself wearing white, pink, light grey, black, because I know I look good in them and I can therefore be confident
    • read books, become absorbed with work-out pdf files online, and basically research things that have nothing to do with my problem in order to stop thinking unproductively and start thinking productively.
what house/sign is in your 12th, and what do you guys do?

    Another great question.

I could write something lengthy but the fact is, I always have a worse problem pressing which forces me to let go the other.

i'm starting to wonder if i ever do at all. i can let go...years later it pops back up. my emotions are very oceanic. 12th house neptune, with a wide array of aspects.

Beginning to wonder if I ever do let go and transcend the things I need too. Twelfth house deludes me into thinking I've probed the issue down to the bottom...then another layer appears. Maybe an addiction to probing needs to be transcended? Oy

Cry a lot. Mope. Talk, even if it's to myself. I have to talk, constantly talk, to get through something.

Baths - lots of them. "Run to the water and find me there, burnt to the core, but not broken".

Wow, hrae that is sooo Virgo! These are great steps for you to let go!

Hmm... If the 12th house is what you have to look into, I have my Sun in Aries there. So I guess my "letting go" solution would be through physical activity :)

I'm working on that right now. I walk everywhere (and save so much money for transportation), I run for exercise, and I do yoga twice a week. If I could afford it, I'd take dancing lessons - the solitary kind like hiphop and bellydancing... because they go fast fast fast and need a lot of coordination - not like I'm coordinated to begin with :P

I actually also engage in something quite virgoan - maybe because it's Saturn Return time... I clean... I clean clean clean like crazy!

But yeah... anyone with 12th house Aries placements, I would LOVE to know what you do to let go!

Hrae, what brilliant advice, and what a virgoan way of approaching the issues raised!  I too have Virgo on the 12th, and I tend to dissect, analyze, look for patterns within, and reasons behind what's going on.  I have to get it PRECISELY or I don't feel I'm getting it at all. (Scorpio moon great help with this). Although I don't make lists, but it's a great idea, also like the idea of notes to refer back to.

jana & kasmiri - I was thinking about the zodiac cycle, too, "years later it pops up" - I guess if a problem can't be solved presently, transcendence is necessary, until it, hopefully, transforms in the next cycle around.

    Lunalie and Opal- Thanks!

Lunalie - hahahaha, i love running as well! have you tried aqua-jogging? it's no-impact, but you get all the same benefits! and the dancing...yeah expensive, but supposedly gives you a kick-arse body

Opal- I feel the same with "precisely", it's maddening at times...but Scorpio would search everything, so that you can feel relieved later :)

    hrae, i agree...

also i think that without exception all of my issues in life are related to my childhood. i do well for the most part but whenever it rears its head, i have the feeling of 'here we go again.' what i mean by this is: the patterns i developed in response to problems in my childhood home. these patterns pop up time and time again...but within new sets of problems with different people.i get along with my parents, but i am still me where i go in the world.

i think this is different than "my parents are bad because blah blah blah and they screwed me up"...that is not my approach to it. just very simple: i grew up with violence, learned techniques to protect myself...if someone unwittingly hits my trigger points i have to labour to be conscious of every move i make after that and sometimes i get it wrong. ah well, to be human, eh!!

    Not sure what I do.
    Lemme think....

I do "get" that thing abt triggers that Kash speaks of. It's like the past is with me always. Trigger me just so and I'm 12 again, so to speak. Except I'm not....

Anyway, to let go, I need insight, need to stay present, and then...maybe it never gets let go. It changes though.

And I do have to talk about it and take breaks from talking about it.

hrae - Yes I tried aqua-jogging! It's TOOOOOUGH stuff! I don't mind it since the Aries sun and Mars in Leo likes the challenge and the Cancer Moon loves the water :)

Yes... I dislike how pricey dance is, but it does give you a great body because you move everything! One of my former hiphop dance instructors never worked out in his life and he was RIPPED!

I agree with Elsa, there's usually so much stuff to focus on for the present moment, that am forced to put the thing that's bothering me aside in my unconscious for time being. Then later, I may cry my eyes out lots of nights (i hate people seeing me cry generally)...and dream about whatever it is which to me is my subconcious way of letting it go. I may even journal if I have real gumption. Of course i do pray to God. But all & all, it's a very painful process because I cannot usually accept the situation as it is for present. Which only causes more pain, & thus the pain of hanging on. Am dealing with personal sit. right now similar & not want to go into it, & the grief sears ones soul.

capricorn and aquarius in 12th.  i organize my thoughts, plan, and make lists in hopes of first "understanding" the problem.  then i go out and socialize.  :)  until i go back and resort back to planning out my resolution on paper (and often the lists include various social activities to heal the wounds).

I have too many fixed things and I don't let go of stuff for about 10 years. At that point it just kind of melts away...or maybe just got exhausted.

I stomp around awhile like Lucy on Peanuts and then I say, fuck it! I'm not going to think about this anymore, and then I get on the motorcycle that is my mind and ride off.

ha ha ha. Maybe.  I am fairly confused about my image but she does look like she wants to fuck something and I can relate. ;-)

Definitely don't want to ride a slow horse!

I was ready to kill someone that day.  let's get this clear:  I am not molasses!

I work, & workout excessively, and try to better myself in every way possible. try to figure out what's so wrong with me that things have to happen, and people have to hurt me. and then move on with my life. I just keep doing things that make me happy. Sometimes, with friends. other times, by myself. I learn more about myself...I write. I sing...Anything to help myself. The thing I always do first though, is accept that I need to let go

I have sex (preferably with a Neptunian).  I also take showers (not baths).  I am a big fan of white noise and a shower is like Neptune + white noise.  Gemini moon in 12th.

Nice ass, "Elsa." (Do you think she has Capricorn?  Haunches and don't-fuck-with-me black leather and spike heels!)

Yeah, I had these boots once, my sister said they were not "fuck me" boots - they were "fuck you" boots.

I still miss those boots, I set them out by the dumpster when my daughter was born because I thought they were no longer fitting. I was so wrong.

I used to dress like Annalisa's son when he was 4. He'd wear his shorts and boots and I'd wear my shorts and boots and we'd go out - the two brains off to the lake to feed the ducks.
