I have very little Scorpio (Venus/Pluto conjunction) in me, but how many of you trust your instincts enough that you can truly say you are great at sensing people?

Have you ever had anyone put a nice and happy face on, but behind that smile you can FEEL that there is malice and anger in it?

Have you ever sensed a 'underhanded' compliment shot at you and sensed that person was trying to 'diss' or 'offend' you by using 'gray areas'? 

Can you detect people's bullshit behind their ambivalence?

Can you tell if someone is being passive aggressive?

And finally, can you distinct your own paranoia/subjectivity from truth? Do you trust yourself?

Yes to it all - for sensing. I can sense the fake smile, I can sense abusers (not kidding), I can sense good people, people having a hard time...

Sometimes, too, I get a feeling something is wrong but can't quite figure it out but still I know something is up.

People sometimes don't believe me when I tell them stuff about others intentions.... But then they often see I'm right.

Not right all the time but I would say.... most of the time. Guess this means I trust my instincts...

Not sure what causes this. I am mostly water/earth. Stellium in cancer, pisces NN, moon and pluto conjunct in first house....neptune in scorp in the 3rd

Anyways, yes, I am very good at sensing people. I would say I am right 85% of the time, which is pretty high. For anyone to say they're 100% right all the time is arrogance IMO.You just never know!

I've become very good. I have learned over the years to not be afraid, and if I sense something untoward ensure I don't get any on me, ha ha ha.

Where I used to get tripped up was thinking things were my fault/people were upset with me. Recognizing people were, er, not me helped my instincts open wide up.

Me too Moonpluto and I agree with julianwinter I think.  I think that honesty requires time to be proven in some cases. 

The trick is waiting until the liar or perhaps self deluded person either relieves him or herself or is exposed.  Pull the curtain back too soon and you'll end up the scapegoat.  Far too much experience talking. 

Yes, quite good. I've learned to trust it but I can be duped especially by people who believe their own lies. I can also be duped when I want to believe something other than what is there.

Anger behind a smile gives me a stomach ache. 

If someone says one thing but is thinking another sometimes I "hear" it, like "that's a nice blouse" (thinking, "but you should've ironed it").

I distinguish between valid sensing, intuition, psychic stuff and my imagination or projections by how quickly and unconsciously the information comes at me. I 100% trust physical pain or reactions like stomach aches and head pains. If I'm not looking or reaching out for it and it's just there, I trust it. If I'm trying too hard, I can distort it with my own biases.

I have a Sun-Neptune square and a Scorpio Moon square Pluto.  And I'm a Cancer, doh!

I'm fairly good at it, but there are times I've ignored it as paranoia when it wasn't and gotten burned.  What can I say, I've got Neptoon hitting Sun, Merc, Saturn, Mars, Venus, and Pluto!  I can get turned around or turn myself around very easily.

One planet in Scorp, conj MC. 3 planets in 8th. I don't think I'm particularly good at "sensing" people. But I tend not to attract the ill intentioned.

I've always had a great deal of trust in myself. Someone once told me that when you can't tell whether you are lying to yourself or if you are really cognating the 'truth', to gauge your emotional state. If you are calm, untroubled, clear, open, etc. that's good. If you are anxious and fixated, you are probably bs'ing yourself.

Very good - Moon conjunct Neptune in Scorpio sextile Pluto and trine Jupiter/Chiron in Pisces.  But I don't ever 'pull back the curtain' because I find that most people don't have the same kind of sensitivity so tend to judge me for saying what I see/feel/register.  Keep it to myself now.  Also question what I do perceive, always, in case it's wrong - I've learned the hard way not to believe something is true just because last time it was.  I do think that honesty can be 'tracked' in a way, because generally if someone is an honest person their radiation will be very clean and clear.

Yes, even though I'm bumptious ( and ) and not always aware of how I come off to others (ASC inconjunct --exact within minutes).  I have a lot of fire, so I'm brutally honest, and I can tell when people aren't.

I also live with lots of .  Two of my kids and I have the conjunction, and my husband and stepson have the square.  The only kid who escaped having it natally will have the conjunction by progression!  I have a lot of as well, so I know how to play the charm game, but I never use it for nasty intentions.  I'm very aware of people who do, and boy, do I let them know when I'm on to them--again, all that fire!

Heh.  I must be the only one who is no good at this at all.  I take people at face value until they hit me with a lead pipe or something.

I sense right away when someone hides sometihing or is stucked in to anger or other hard feelings.

It's like I see them as not clear/clean. The energy doesn't flow properly.

It takes me very little time to understand if I want or not relate to a person.

I also sense the people that are clearer with themself compared to me, and that makes me want to learn from them. 

Lislioness, I'm surprised Fires signs can read people! I never heard of this before.

I think the reason why Fire signs can sense people is because they are true to themselves, therefore they can tell when someone isn't being true to themselves.

I always have a saying, "Know yourself, know others"!

I'm usually pretty good at picking up on slimy types and buried anger but I have run across people are so incredibly good at lying to themselves, they fool everyone.

Between a Moon-Neptune conjunction's ability to sense feelings and Mars-Mercury in Scorpio's keen observations, I am not easy to deceive. In fact, I ALWAYS find out the truth sooner or later. Like years later on occasion because I am very, very patient. heh, heh, heh

I'd say I'm pretty good. Whenever I mistrust my senses about people I end up regretting it.
