Has anyone struggled to convince your doctor that you DO need a treatment/prescription, whatever it can be- stronger painkillers, an appointment with a specialist, a scan, etc. How do you explain it astrologically?
I feel like Sadge stelium makes it difficult anyone to believe that i CAN feel poorly, including my doctor. I told him all the symptoms i have, which usually mean one illness. While he agreed the symptoms can signify this particular illness, he didn't send me to see a specialist. Instead, i got prescribed...a book about a natural way to heal oneself. I will read it, of course, but its so unusual to be prescribed a book. The fact he thought i was looking fit also surprised me, because i do not exercise, and i only slept 4 hours last night, so i did feel awful, lol.

Cherry, I can relate. Jupiter in 6th, I am healthy. However I have chronic pain and it's hard to get it taken seriously because I can't quantify it. Jupiter opposes Neptune. I worry about mobility in later years; my grandmother was crippled by her arthritis.

    Thanks for the link, Elsa.

Kashmiri, sorry to hear you've got chronic pain too. So what do you do about it? Any specific painkillers/practices? Did you try alternative medicine? Did it work?

My 6th house is ruled by Leo, sun is in the 10th. Leo rules heart, if i am right. And the closer pluto is 'cuddling' my Sun in transit, the weirder it feels for my heart. Anyway, i decided to change my sugar intake and generally modify my diet, perhaps this will help to reduce my anxiety and out-of-nowhere increased pulse. Also my friend recommended Chinese medicine.

I take extra strength tylenol when it's really bad. It doesn't really work unless I take 1500mg at once. However there is a lot of data out there on the potential damage that excessive doses of acetaminophen can cause (esp to your liver). 1500 mg is the recommended dose for a 24 hour period. I used to take ibuprofen but developed an intolerance to it (hives).

I have tried acupuncture, cranial sacral therapy, yoga, reiki and swimming. All work to a certain degree but cranial sacral therapy and swimming seem to be the best.

I have also worked very hard to develop mental discipline to work with the pain. I do a lot of reiki on myself and deep breathing...usually when I am submerged in the bath at night:) I have also used my relationship with pain to get to know my body better and working with emotional pain, finding the roots of it has been good, too.

I have also smoked pot but it doesn't work at all for me--it heightens my pain and makes it unbearable. My therapist used to work in a chronic pain clinic and he told me that it is most successful therapeutically for people whose pain originates in their soft tissue. Mine is joints/bones, plus I have weird nerve stuff going on.

Yes, Leo does rule the heart:) I have a Jupiter/6th-Saturn/8th-Capricorn Moon/1st yod being activated by Pluto right now.

Wow, you tried so many things!

I know it may sound ridiculous, but sometimes when a severe pain comes back, instead of feeling pity for myself or taking paracetamol, i do something intense. It can be anything, from intensive house cleaning, dancing to loud music, playing with the dog till you drop..its sort of saying fuck off to the pain. It is not easy, but endurable. Its like, when you feel you can't do it anymore, you just do it, lol. I have no patience to be in pain, says my Sadge side LOL

In terms of pills- i was prescribed Tramadol after an operation, and had all the side effects from it, even had to call the ambulance. I think Neptune rules drugs, so here we go, Neptune in my 12th in Pisces gave me a genuine welcome, lol.

I have Neptune in 12th, too! I fully agree, you sometimes need to tell the pain to fuck right off! I like your style:)

I have weird issues with my wrists & ankles.  In one wrist, the ulna was longer than it was supposed to be by about a centimeter, just enough to be ripping up tendons in my wrist.  In my right ankle I had what's called a tarsal coalition, meaning my bones didn't separate properly as a baby and they had some weird boney ridges which caused me a great deal of pain.

It literally took years and some very intense insistence on my (and my mom's) part to even get a specialist appointment, because there was nothing overtly wrong with me, and the pain was not constant.  As a teenage girl I was basically told to take some IBprofen, wear a tenser bandage for a while and get over myself.

Eventually I got in to see a specialist who took me seriously and had surgery on both my wrist & ankle.  Nothing can repair the damage that's already done, but at least it won't get worse now.

I have Neptune in the 6th, a packed 12th house and Chiron conjunct my Gemini Sun.

Weird joint problems + a great deal of obfuscation in matters of health.  Fun fun.

Yes, I could write a book about it but I won't. I'm currently disabled by chronic illness and pain. I've been seeking diagnosis and treatment since '08. I did get referred to specialists, but just kept getting passed on to the next one.

I was accepted to the Dept. of Immunology at University of Miami Health Center, one of the best researchers in the country. I have some sort of autoimmune disorder and most likely CFS/ME, but they're not actually *doing* anything about it.

To the outside world, I look normal, not disabled. They call these disorders "invisible illnesses." The main support website for it is called "But You Don't Look Sick."

Astrologically, I worked too hard during Saturn in Virgo and that triggered a chronic illness at the time Pluto hit my Cap ASC.

((Josephine)) Hopefully you take it easier with work now. Its such a shame to hear that one of the best researchers in the country are actually not doing anything about it neutral
