If you were given 100,000 worth of counterfeit bills what would you do?

Getting popped with that much in counterfeit money would not be worth the risk of trying to pass the bills...
I'm an Aries.
Burn it.
Get the Karma out into the open sky and let the Universe dissipate all of the energies...
I like my Karma to be clean...
Fire is the answer. It purifies things.
Smoke carries unwanted energies away...
i wouldn't use it. stuff like that hurts the economy you know. why add to the problem when it's already as big as it is?
anyway maybe if you turn it in you'll get a reward.
Find a nice big yard, get a nice big rake, and make a nice big pile in which I could jump in.
Then I'd scrub myself really well because money is dirty and turn it into the FBI, because counterfeiters piss me off.
I'm stuck on trying to imagine any circumstance in which I'd be given that much cash in bills.
I wouldn't take bills for payments that large, or even a check. It'd have to be a certified check.
I'm stuck wondering how would I know the bills were counterfeit.
Well, all my reservations aside, my first impulse is to burn it, get it out of circulation.
Well, if they are counterfeit, they are essentially worthless. And if you DO get caught trying to pass one off, you will get arrested, most likely. I would not be able to handle the anxiety of trying to buy stuff with it, and worring each time if it was going to be tested by a cashier and caught. A lot of cash handlers are very savvy these days, and plus, the bank tests all cash anyway so it would be a moot point in my opinion.
BUT, if I DID find a bunch of cash, the first thing I would do is go get some of those pens that they test the paper with, and check it.....lol And if it is real, I'm going shopping. That's of course if I can't identify anything about the money to tell me whose it might have been.
Turn them in to the Feds.
But when I received my reward, I'd check with ATF and make sure the bills weren't bogus.
You can never be too sure these days.
ROFL..... "assuming" I knew they were counterfeit , I'd have to burn it. But first take a picture of me standing in front , wearing really nice clothes (rental , of course) , cigar in my mouth being lit by one of the bills burning. A classic: "Rich man so wealthy , he can burn money" pose.
But if I didn't know it was counterfit.... I'd do same as Dre. Spend it , invest it , try to make money with it.
But.... since Annalisa didn't say "how" I acquired it..... I'll assume it was part of a payment I got for service I performed. In this case , I'd get some kind of proof (contract paperwork most likely) stating it was from so-n-so as a cash payment. This way the person would also be liable for the counterfeit bills , too.
I personally know someone who did hard time for plates.
The guy went DOWN.
I don't even want to know what happened to him in prison. Though I suspect it was not too harsh, considering the crime and the connections.
I would burn it and not involve anyone else. End of story.
Not a temptation - I wouldn't even touch them. I'd just leave them there and walk away.
I'd probably give $2,000 dollars to a random poor dude on the streets, then turn the rest in.
turn it in I dont want bad karma plus cops give "rewards" for turning in things :D
If they are very passable it's very tempting........but eventually someone will get hurt so I guess I would burn them. This way no one else gets tempted. Hey..Cops have bills to pay too.
@Read em.....
you've been missed around here.
The first thing I'd probably do is say, "Sh*t, why am I not surprised?"
Then shake my head, and laugh at the dark humor in finding fake money that if it were real would be of great help to my poor self.
Then I'd probably call the police station, or bring the money right to them to do with it as they liked. Since it's totally useless, not worth anything, and too dangerous to try to pass off as real. I've got enough negative karma to work off as it is, I don't need to staple some more to the stack.
I like Demelza's plan. This way, I'd actually end making at least some real money off of the counterfeit money.

donate it? spend it? Save it? turn it in? What if the bills were completely passable?
