This is something that is very real in my life. I would like to find someone who can relate to me. This is about relationships in general.

I've never found anyone instantly attractive. The people whom I've found the most attractive in my life I have had to warm up to. Most of them I found ugly as sin when I first met them, but as time progressed they became beautiful, sexy, and just super attractive. I'm not talking about their personality, but their actual looks. 

Anyone out there relate? Is there any astrology behind this?

yeah, there is astrology behind it for sure. I have Uranus mashed with Venus and if I am bot crazy for you in the first few minutes, it will never happen.

Is Venus square Neptune like that too? My girlfriend ( she has venus square neptune ) thinks like you, but I feel that anything is possible. Sometimes strong repulsions mean something, at least for me lol

I've not thought about it but Venus saturn comes to mind.

I remember some old man saying love has to heat up slowly, simmer, then boil like water on a stove but it's not been the case for me.

Venus Aquarius and Uranus in the 7th house.

I'm in the instant attraction category.  If it doesn't happen right away, it's just simply not going to happen at all.  I don't get repulsed by people either.  Either I'm absolutely into them or they bore me, and if you bore me, well you may as well be invisible to me lol.

I get that acquired attraction for sure. (I have venus neptune and venus saturn).

Only rarely do I see a man and go ga-ga. It's always later that they become beautiful, or I stop being bothered by how badly their jeans fit...

I've got Venus Saturn.  My first lover didn't speak English, the love of my life stuttered and had buck teeth, and my ex was bald and overweight.  Instant attraction?  Nah.  But eventually I found each to be irristable.

7th house saturn in pisces. i've never had instant attraction but i usually don't have instant distaste, either. takes me a while to warm up to someone or cool off, either way.

Sinmarazul--Don't worry, I'm the same way!  I've been with my husband for 9 years in May.  Let me tell you, I was not attracted to him at all at first.  We would hang out a lot, and he liked me, but I didn't feel the same way about him for a long time.  I know people think the statement "he/she grew on me" is something negative, but that's exactly what happened, and I don't think there's anything wrong with that at all.  To me, he gets more handsome everyday, and if I would have brushed him off from the begining because I wasn't instantly attracted, well I would have really missed out. 

Come to think of it, any man that I've ever been attracted to came with time.  I like it that way really.  It gives you time to appreciate the depths of people, and I'd much rather go slow and steady to find out what I am REALLY attracted to. 

Well, for the astrology, I have Venus in Virgo in the 11th house (Isn't that Venus/Uranus too?)....so I'm not sure what else exactly to look for.

What exactly worries you about it?  I'd say work with it, in my opinion it's an awesome quality to have.

Oh, and any guy I found myself instantly attracted to became just as quickly unattractive when he showed interest.  Weird.  Does that happen to you too?

I also have Venus sq. Neptune and hmmmm....I pretty much fall in love with everybody, at the platonic level, which may be the reason I don't have that instant attraction with ANYONE.....because I'm attracted to EVERYONE! Does that make sense?

Venus in 1st house Aries opp Neptune in the 7th house Libra. For me it is either pretty much love at first sight, or else it is never going to amount to anything. I don't get the slow growing love and I don't have Venus with Saturn, so this fits with the hypothesis.

I have Venus/Saturn, but I don't EVER warm up to someone later, as my dating history and the poor bastards I "gave a chance" to could tell you.

I always felt like I had Venus/Uranus because if I don't have a thing for you instantly I never will. Then I found out what a quindecile was and I have THAT connecting Venus and Uranus. Hah, the aspect of obsession. That figures.

Kashmiri--I think that makes a lot of sense!  I just re-read my comments and they don't make any sense.  First I said I am never instantly attracted to anyone.  Then I say "when I have been instantly attracted to someone".  Then I go on to say I'm attracted to EVERYBODY!!  LMAO!

I'll stick with the "I'm attracted to everyone, that's why I'm not intantly attracted to anyone."  In other words, no one sticks out like a sore thumb, everyone is equally endearing to me.  Sounds like an 11th house Venus to me!

I have an interesting story on mine.

I have Venus opposing Uranus - you would think I'm prone to whirlwind romances, right? Well.. I was. People didn't just grow on me. If I am attracted, I will fall HARD but when I am given a reason not to stay in love/infatuated with someone, I will fall out of love very fast (even though my feelings for a person tend to linger for years). 

Last year, however, I started dating a very good friend of mine of over four years. I noticed him back then and have always found him attractive, but he didn't quite get on my radar before that. We became very good friends... and four years later, I guess you can say we fell for each other. Believe me, I am NOT used to this steady, gradual attraction but every moment spent with him (as cheezy as this sounds) makes me see more and more of his beauty :)

So anyway... I am not sure what this could mean, astrologically (although I have a venus trining Saturn), but it was really different from all the relationships I've had. :P

The only instant attraction was with my husband. I was on another date, backstage after my gig when we met. Physically he is my "type."

He put my phone # in his big geeky '80s Casio watch & I thought that was funny/charming.

I have Venus Virgo & he has Mars Virgo. Sometimes we go to the office supply store for fun. Man we love office supplies hahaha!

I find people instantly attractive and I can become easily obsessed with people and very reluctant to give up the fantasy.  Have also had situations where the attraction just disappears very suddenly.  The two men I really loved I met when I was 15 and 21 respectively which was a long time ago!  I have Venus in virgo 11th house which is opp 5th house Jupiter.  The jupiter is square neptune so maybe that explains the being in love with love and projecting my fantasies onto people?

Venus is sextile saturn and currently Saturn is bang on my venus (transiting) so I am learning that perhaps if I learn to let someone grow on me I may end up with a long term partner!

It is very real in my life. My husband felt an instant attraction to me. After our first meeting, he told his mom that he was going to marry me. I, on the other hand, am very slow to develop feelings.

There's gotta be either a strong liking or a strong dislike. It's never in between or a maybe. I'm either into her or not at all. Either way, it's a good sign, but most of the time that sudden dislike of physical features means that I actually find her beautiful. I don't know, it's very strange, but it's like waking up and finding someone you've always found ugly completely irresistible. I can't explain it.

I have venus in scorpio conjunct pluto in the 5th house. Also venus square jupiter, semisextile saturn and trine my ascendant. When I feel that sudden pull it's very obsessive, it's life consuming.

This is so strange. I'm a mix of both instant attraction and acquired attraction. Maybe because my Venus is in opposition with Saturn, and  they are both squaring my Uranus. The thing is: every time I felt  instant attraction it turned out to be a disaster. it was usually a shallow thing, and it was gone as soon as I talked to a guy. But, one time when I really  loved it was acquired attraction, after knowing him for a while. But even than, it was kind of a sudden thing. Like one day I opened my eyes and seen this man for the first time. I'm still confused about it.

Always been instant attraction for me.  Or some kind of crazy situation that led to love.  I've never been the girl who had a long time HS boyfriend or dated someone for years on end.

 Then again, I have all three outer planets aspecting Venus, and Jupiter in Libra on the DSC.
