This is a spin-off from the Vocation/Natal Chart topic

So, guys, I have a North Node in Pisces, conjunct a mercury in  Pisces.

    In the 6th house.

What would be your advice here? Which route do I follow? Or, I have no route?

I just feel so... "darned if i do, darned if i don't, there's only one way out of this, darned if I do, darned if i don't...(etc. infinity symbol)", hahahaha

Jan Spiller talks about this in her nodes book. I'll see if I can remember where I put mine. Basically you're trying to integrate the energies, it's not like a binary do it/avoid it thing.

    I have SN conj Sun/MC.

I know someone with NN in Cap in the 4th.  He works from home. :)

I also have NN in Pisces in the 6th.....

I know that for me it has to do with flow and spirituality (very imp to me) and leaving virgoan rigidity/anxiety behind.

    Bringing piscean-ness into daily sphere

But beyond that, 6th house confuses me even though it's so not-abstract I guess: daily routines, work, pets, health. What else?

I've always had issues with work, finding the right work that didn't make me feel crazed. Although these days I do indeed have a pisces in the 6th work life..

I love this topic. I really need a reading, methinks....

    Moonpluto what else ?

Service in the trenches of life rather than serving through immersion in infinite, I think.

Jilly! Hello! That idea sounds the smartest...and the hardest. It's so easy to concentrate on one side and develop that part...but then it's like only working out one side of your body at a time and it's not very efficient, hehe. I might just buy the book through Elsa's Amazon links and see what it says...After skimming Gary Goldschineder's "secret language of destiny" I am clammoring to prove him wrong about the nodes!

Haha, Moonpluto, we must be cosmic soul twins!  (I'm just making that phrase up, hahaha)

I, also, feel akin to the flow and spirituality, and leaving the virgo side. Someone else, in another thread,(maybe the anxiety one?) made a comment to "fight virgo with virgo", which i think is interesting...but since I have a t-square with chiron in gemini, (do you have chiron conjunct your mc, too, soul twin?) I'm thinking that that might be a better place to start, instead of pinging back and forth, at least until I learn how to integrate better?

Meh, I don't know...All I can think of at this point is how Astrology was banished from the Christian/Western world probably due to reasons like this, hahahaha.

I can't point to which post made me think this, but I remember thinking late one night, "huh, I have a lot of chart commonalities with moonpluto." I have NN in Pisces too, but next door in the 7th house.

I'm a little new at verbalizing what I think aspects mean/don't mean, since I 'feel' the meaning more instinctually, but I would think that you would find grace through compassion and imagination in everyday life and day-to-day service, and maybe learning to let go of the fear that you're not scheduled or disciplined enough? That's all I got.

    neva-

    that really rings a bell.

I was reading Joseph Campbell's Myths to Live By a year ago, and basically the whole book is about seeing myths sprout forth in your everyday existence- one of the examples from the back of the book was, "the latest incarnation of beauty and the beast is happening on 5th Avenue and 57th street" (or something like that).

In fact, I think your idea is a very bright way to think of integrating both forces!!!

Thanx Jana - I get so weary of the trenches....but maybe u r right. Maybe I need to do even more service, diff kind of service than I currently do, and be a light there--
But then who takes care of the caretaker?

It was jilly who wrote fight virgo witj virgo! I loved that too! Cosmic soul twins, indeed, hrae

Hrae: my chiron is in the 8th... opposing uranus.... Some kind of money wound I suppose, which ties back to the vocation thread...

    Neva: aren't you also cancer?

Maybe pisces NN is always searching, always searching--

I also have moon in virgo, adding to the service element. Does service take the place of family?

Hear you about the trenches, It's a dirty, boring business sometime. I was thinking Zen mind really describes the Virgo/Pisces axis. "Before enlightenment chop wood, carry water...After enlightenment chop wood, carry water.

<>and be a light there  from what I can see you're a light here! A probing one at that.

I am realizing, thru these boards actually, how probing I am. And that I need to watch it. My vision is a little bit x-ray at times--

Thanks, Jana. I appreciate that comment a lot.

That describes my days as well: chopping wood, carrying water, and then little sparks of insight. Not necessarily in that order.

My birthday was yesterday and I guess it makes a person sit up, once again, and say "what the hell? Is this my life? What is my life?". How do we see who we are without someone/the world reflecting ourselves back to us?

    Another thread perhaps....

And that I need to watch it.

    haha why???

    ((moonpluto)) happy belated birthday!!

and as long as we're relating Zen quotes to the birthday girl, I have another one! from "The Teachings of the Compassionate Buddha"

"Him I call indeed a brahmana who is bright like the moon, pure, serene, undisturbed, and in who all unseemly gaiety is extinct"

I thought 'bright like the moon' was perfectly fitting!

Happy B-day moonpluto! Not gifted with x-ray I'm afraid. But I can imagine you might see things you'd rather not.

    Beautiful quote hrae

"The night walked down the sky with the moon in her hands". F. Knowles

    have a great weekend

I have pisces in the 6th and how it turns up is the need to have my everyday life and my work aligned with my spiritual values.

Opal I think you distilled it right there! I mean, I can ONLY ever do work if it is meaningful to me, if it aligns with my purpose somehow--
