Does anybody have any insight on the Jupiter Conjunct Saturn (10th house) aspect? Is it positive or negative? I've heard both.

It is both- or at least it can be both. I'd suggest looking at the sign, house and any aspects the conjunction may have. If you do a search on this website, there are some helpful past topics about jupiter-saturn.

I suspect its good. I notice that when I read astrology other conjunctions are bad but not those involving jupiter.

link does not seem to be working...sorry. It sounds like an excellent aspect.

It is the signature of a teacher/preacher.  BIG SHOES you have to grow into.

You would make a good business person. Jupiter knows when to expand, and cautious Saturn knows when to just sit on assets and be patient. Jupiter conjunct Saturn also endows you with a lot of common sense and practicality.

I like to think of it as the Michael Scott aspect.  Seriously Ridiculous at times, Ridiculously Serious at others.

The two planets are a natural pair. They balance each other like Venus/Mars or the Sun and the Moon. There is a book.

The Jupiter/Saturn Conference Lectures (Lectures on Modern Astrology)

The aspect gets better with age. If you have the conjunction in Libra, your Saturn return will be when you step into the shoes. They will scare you at first.

toomuch - yes and no. A trine is not a conjunction but you do have the planets working together. :)

The way things been going lately it cant be all that good...lol

something about lazy and thinking others are better than u.....

check this year and next (if Saturn is in Libra) - your saturn return is when Saturn in the sky is in the same place it was when you were born.

If this is confusing, put your chart up and we'll tell you. :)  Or just your birthdate will work too

Yours is starting, If I remember correctly.  I think you said in a different thread that your birthday is about a week before mine.

Wow, thank you Elsa for the explanation! That sounds fascinating. Teacher/preacher, big shoes, and starting with Saturn Return... kind of scary, sounds like big responsibility.

I have that conjunction too. Jupiter's at 2'25'' degrees Libra and Saturn at 4'37'' degrees Libra. My Saturn Return is taking place Sept 5th-6th. Can you tell me when it'll finally be finished? Or do you need a chart for that?

ScorpioMoonGirl, the bad news is that your Saturn Return has been going on since December 2009; the good news is that the return ends Sept. 6th. (Well, the last pass of Saturn over natal Saturn is the 6th, the effects of the transit will persist for a bit after that.)

    Thanks Max!

Ironically, that was what started me on astrology in the first place. Ever since the last days of October 2009 - beginning of November 2009 things just kept happening, I was taking hits on all areas of my life! I won't go into detail here but it was crazy, like nothing ever before. Even a co-worker of mine said: "Wow, that's really strange, it feels like everything is changing for you. You really have had your share of misfortune lately."

So that's why I thought, partly as a joke, to make a chart of mine on astro.com and ask people what was causing it. And everybody immediately said, "Oh, it's your Saturn Return." I had never heard of such a thing, so I googled and was like "Wow, that explains a lot"

I'm glad I did, because I understood what was happening better, and it really got me thinking about things in my life that weren't working, and gave me strenght to end them. Otherwise maybe I would have resisted change.

But, now I am feeling differently than before that. I kind of feel like "If I survived that, I can survive anything." Like I really discovered my own strength for the first time.

Saturn stationed direct at 4Lib39 on January 14 right on top of your Saturn at 4Lib37. That was the first and second pass of your Saturn return. Saturn move into Libra October 28th, so that within 5 degrees of orb there when it started hitting you. It's in orb again, so any final pass Saturn return effects should start showing up now and peaking on September 5th.

I kind of feel like "If I survived that, I can survive anything." Like I really discovered my own strength for the first time.

There are actually worse things than a Saturn return, like a Saturn/Saturn square or opposition, but the first Saturn return scares the pants off of most people. There are worse things - Pluto transits can be rough, in particular.

I have a loose Saturn-Jupiter conjunction in Virgo in the sense that both are conjunct the Ascendant (Jupiter in the 12th house, Saturn in the first).

I have to say I have loved my Saturn return, for the most part.

I mean, it was undeniably hard work (I was parenting a two year old, pregnant and ill, while working and studying part-time) BUT I loved what I was studying (I was finishing my training as a therapist) so it didn't feel like a chore. It was hard work, there was a lot to learn and a lot that required you to leave my ego at the door and be willing to be wrong time and time again. In some ways it did feel like going up to the ring for a boxing match BUT I knew I was sparring with friendly opponents. Sure, it wasn't comfortable, but there were supportive structures to help me and no one was breaking my teeth. They were just helping me grow into my best self.

I've always found Saturn transits really helpful if you are not trying to run away from them. I hope it works out that way for you.
