Is My Soul Journeying, Do you think?
posted 1 year ago in Astrology Stories
Frankly, I never understood all that stuff (I call it hippie woo-woo shit) anyway. I gots the Pluto in Virgo - everything needs to somehow make sense to me.
Don't get me wrong, I don't discount the super natural, but wtf?
Soul Journey? This shiny chicken Doesn't Get It.
but neptune and chiron are going to be in Pisces, sextiled by pluto.
So soul journeys will be in vougue again. No?
Hmm, I have considered my soul to be on a journey since roughly the time I realized it was there, and that I didn't believe in organized religions saying that even though my soul is immortal, it only lives one life. I subscribe the the "life is about the journey, not the destination" type theory regarding it all, and my soul is definitely on another one of it's loooong journey's currently. : )
I also link it all to the concepts of being "awake," and mindfulness. How awake am I in relation to my soul, and what it needs/wants? And how mindful am I of the physical world my soul inhabits within my physical body? Just my take on it. : )
"I associate the term "soul journey" with shamanism which is ancient and universal rather than new-agey... though it achieved new-agey popularity during Pluto in Sadge."
Yeah, I've always felt we are all souls making the "Journey" in a shamanistic sense. And it did get such an overused-bad-rap from all of it's new-agey use...
Thanks for bringing that point up, Satori... It brings a better perspective to the idea...
Elsa, what Nota said about giving them a few more degrees might solve the whole thing... It does have a certain unpleasant tang to it when used that way, tho, I must admit...
haha! yeah, technically pluto is still conjunct my sun/merc since he is at 2 and there are later Sag's than me.....
notice how the whole ground zero mosque thing just grew and grew, then the quran burning debacle, both led up in synch with 9/11 aniversary; and Pluto going direct. Note that during the Rx period jupiter squared pluto, the astrology supports some left over crap from Sag.
@CArRiE ROFL, thats what some of my students call me!!!!! hahahahahaha!
I just believe that humans continue to evolve physically, mentally, emotionall and spiritually, its an ongoing process and whatever aspect needs work to evolve with each individual is where the focus lies?
also, as a teacher of spiritual philosphy (merc in 9th) it really is a challenge at times because religions including new age have made sooo many terms cliche that i cringe when not able to come up with a way of communicating without using one of them, still i love a good challenge ![]()
thanks Elsa, I just love the way you make your thought provoking statements, so very inspiring ![]()
I've had similar thoughts about people who seem to be running on a road that's bound to run out, Like, say a person who just got into giving Enneagram seminars and pretty much all of Sedona Arizona. I'm not saying they're all doomed because how would I know, but it doesn't seem like a population at 10% plus unemployment is going to be in the mood for too much nonsense.
Then again, I got to the world of various new age philosophies when I was fifteen. It's always been around though I wonder if the majority of people won't start heading to their local tradtional churches for their spirituality.
My soul's always on some journey or another. Even if it's just to the local Starbucks.
Speaking as a hippie, those who talk like that annoy me.
"Speaking as a hippie, those who talk like that annoy me."
Well, I scored pretty highly on the hippie quiz and it irritates me too. I think because it's one of those phrases that, the way it's most commonly used, sounds feel-good but doesn't actually have a specific meaning. If you actually believe in soul, then you pretty much have to believe it's on a journey of some sort. What the hell else is it doing? Sitting around eating pizza? I mean, let's go beyond the obvious here.
combining philosophies here but here goes anyway. Ok so once I had a reading and was told I had an *old soul* hummm, now in the bible God said I knew you before you were born. So like what, I started out a newbie and had to go out into the world for what? To learn, to grow, to be perfected enough to return *home* If that is the case than I guess I am on a journey. The only part of all this I don't like is where the hell is the dang syllabus???
@Mina. I like the way you have put it. I share this feeling (which I have only become aware of in the last couple of weeks !!). I have made an enormous progress during this Uranus/Jupiter transit in Pisces which I just simply made my natal Neptune (in Sagittarius, House 12) and Uranus (conjunct MC and natal Uranus in House 10) vibrate so hard they showed me the way >> learn astrology lol although I unconcsiously new before I was on a soul journey because my natal Neptune has been running the show behind the curtains for the last 35 years!! Geees, I wasted a lot of time, but that was my karma (Saturn in Cancer, in House 7) pffff
Adding to that mars conjunct venus in scorpio transit in my House 10, and you have me obsessed and putting all my energy into the subject >> which as Elsa said, is only the tip of the iceberg, my life (destiny - destination) will be transformed in some major way, I know it.
What is so extraordinay is that I feel I'm flowing with the current, there is absolutely no planning and yet all the events that are happening in my daily life are synchronised with the events in the sky - The most striking was the meeting with my astro teacher who booked the date for our meeting just the day of the exact conjunction between Uranus and Jupiter (didn't know at the time!!) and also the course "happens" to start the exact day of the full moon in aries (conjunct my natal moon) !!
The only problem I experience right now is that i have to get my feet back on the ground from time to time because I still have to eat and sleep, because, I'm not just a soul, I'm also a human being and I must not forget to get my garbage out tonight ;-) ----
Are we talking Astral Projection here? Or "Evolution of the Soul" type stuff? Everything is a journey technically, nothing is static. From one millisecond to the next, nothing or noone is the same... we are all "journeying" some are just more aware of their surroundings. I've been aware of this since I had an epiphany and lost my athiesm some time ago. Now my worries are are my maps good enough to get me where I'm going? Or rather, am I a good enough navigator?
(apologies to those for extreme woo wooism.. yer talking to someone here with Sun in Aquarius conjunct Jupiter in the 9th... Mercury in Pisces, with a NN in Sag. and ginormous amounnt of Uranus all in the mix..go fig.) LOL
O yeah, also looking into the astral projection thing also... why not? sounds pretty damn cool!
I would think the term 'soul journey' relates more to Saturn-Neptune than Pluto transiting through Sagittarius. The soul (Neptune) journeying through time (Saturn) and gaining earthly experience and learning valuable lessons during the journey (Saturn). In my opinion, we are all souls in bodies, and we are all on a journey of some sort, so the term 'soul journey' is fine by me. Each to their own though
. We live in a diverse world, and being tolerant of each other's diversity helps us to live in peace together.
@Shannon, hey thanks ;) We're all here just trying to figure things out. :)
So you want some Aquarian New Age-Woo Woo do you? Alright!
Some schools of thought say that our soul reincarnates again and again in this earthly environment, and gains more and more experience each time. So, an old soul has had many past incarnations, and has gained much experience (perhaps a Saturn-Neptune aspect indicates an old soul!)
But wait! Another philosophy says that the universe is infinite, and we can't get out of our Saturn box of limitations to understand that. The same philosophy also states that there isn't just one universe, there are infinite universes, and that we are slightly different versions of ourselves in each universe.
Another philosophy says that "Time" as we know it is an illusion and doesn't actually exist: there is only Now. Now let's see....................(contemplate, contemplate)............ that must mean that there is no such thing as 'past' lives and we are having all of our soul incarnations simultaneously in all the parallel universes at once right now!

Let me preface my comments with I got my Pluto in Virgo, I am not new agey, nor a hippie. Yet I do believe that one's soul, just like people, can grow and evolve. I believe the soul, like a person, can stagnate. Thus, you could say I believe in a soul's journey although I don't use that phrase. Personally, I like my soul adventure it sounds more exciting...
PS am I the only one who thinks Soul Journey should be a 70's band?
@Wizron... NOW yer talkin! LOL ;)
