Having a brother thats' a sagittarius and my favourite hairdresser being one too - the one thing I find Sags have in common is that they are not bossy: they are so laid back... HOWEVER... If they want to say something... oh BOY will they say it and it will CUT. They are definitely not for the weak of heart.
Wow no wonder my mom is always telling me to get off my soapbox. Sag sun with Mercury in Sag.
Yes Sag is a great debater or b-s-er, depending on your view. Passionate views even when we don't know what in the hell we're talking about. Now liberte said something very interesting...an ah ha moment for me. She said that Pisces shys away from Sag, right? Well that really explains why I can't snag a fish as a friend (or in the past as a lover) because of the heavy Sag in my chart--wow.
As a Scorp I really wanted to explore this deep relationship potential with Pisces. But I always found them to be shady and unreliable. One guy I remember was a great conversationist, but he wouldn't do more than suggest going further. Now I know why it wasn't meant to be, thanks liberte.
Galena I get along with Pisces fine and I'm a Sagittarius. But that could also be because I have Pisces Rising and Venus/Pluto in Scorpio in the 8th house. I could never date them, but being friends with them are okay.
But I did offend a Pisces once and she jumped somewhere in the river and I never saw her again. Lol.
Don't forget liberted and Galena, Sag and Pisces is a square aspect. That's a difficult one!
Hi Toni! What about Cancer? Never made it with them either. A couple of them were interesting but I considered them too weak or damaged to fool with. I have an Aries man and it's good but there have been some awful moments--no relationship is perfect of course. I'm really trying to learn more about my Sag nature. Believe it or not, I hated dealing with this sign in the past. Everything described in this post. Talk about self-hate lol!
Maybe it's not them that don't like you, maybe it's you who don't like them (Cancers and Pisces). You might dislike some people subconsciously and not even know it and vice versa.
Cancers? I like them, but I get along with Pisces more. To be honest I get along with most signs, but the signs I need to be careful with are Taurus and Pisces!
Galena, on the positive side. Us Sags are brave, physically active, intellectually skilled, can see through people's bs, benevolent, caring, lucky, talented, energetic, positive and optimistic, sincere, and overall pure hearted people.
I think some people are jealous of us!
But anyways, use all that Sag in your chart to expand your knowledge and tell those damn Pisces that no matter what you're a Scorpio. Say, "I'm a Scorpio damn it"!
Hi guys, been thinking about what you are saying in regards to Sag and Scorpio in relationship to Cancers. I have alot/strong Sag and Scorpio in my chart and no Cancer so this is what I think. For me I can't think of any inner relationships or middle relationships that I have had with a Cancer. Maybe my outer circle has some cancer relationships in it never really thought about it. Could it be because of the strong Sag/Scorpio influence I tend to use my arrow and my stinger to aim directly at the target whereas Cancers have a tendency to move sideways toward the target. Never thought about it that way before. Can't say anything bad about a cancer because maybe we just don't gravitate towards each other. I like Pisces, but it is my AC, I think that Pisces "softens" the fire in me sometimes, in a good way.
This reminds me-- I know a Sadge who is so preachy and has to be right that she will actually do RESEARCH on some unimportant thing and send a bulleted email to a list of people to prove her point. I mean, really inconsequential things.
Not to stir up trouble, but the other thing is that Sadges are often unpartnered or do it late in life, and I think this tendency I described is a factor.
Since that may be a sore point for some, I want to emphasize that I only mean that as information that may be helpful to someone. ::runs away til the Sadges cool down::
Oh Pixie get back here. We are not mad, we are just gonna tell you how it is. ROFLMAO. Maybe your Saggie had strong virgo somewhere, you know detail oriented.
As far as being partnered. Well we just don't like having someone nail our feet to the floor. If we are lucky enough to find someone to just hold the kite string, we can be extremly faithful, loyal, and devoted. You know its a big world out there, gotta go see it.
Leaving now with my waist length hair flowing in the breeze as I am off to another adventure. Sprinkle a little pixie dust on my path so I can see the wonder of it all.
Daisy, you got it!
****sprinkle***** sprinkle****sprinkle*****
****May you never lose your sense of wonder****
xoxo
PD
daisy and Piixe, you guys are so cute!
Thanks for the advise Toni. I'm very comfortable in my Scorpio nature. I just had to except that there was more to the picture. I had to understand the Sadge.
I don't know what to do with my perceived volitile combo. Sadge and Scorp doesn't seem to fit together--too much Mars--I still have so much to learn. One day I will have a professional read my chart and lay it all out for me, there must be some key factors that soften the edges. One thing that totally fascinates me are my (and other people's) personal contradictions. I analyze how or why a person expects to reconcile (or defend) a contradiction. One that rocked me recently was when my young adult daughter told me that one of her friends is a Marboro smoking vegetarian! Huh? I later realized that being a vegatarian doesn't make you health conscious necessarily--it just means you will not eat animals or animal by-products. But vegatarians will often defend their choice by saying meat is unhealthy...so...
PixieDust, Daisy and SaDiablo, you had me because you nailed it exactly. My favorite sister (the only one from my incredibly dysfunctional family that I speak to) is a Sag with Virgo rising, and she is constantly telling everyone else how they should be living, what they should be doing, and how they should be doing it. She makes us all crazy. Once, when I didn't vote the way she thought I should, she didn't speak to me for nearly 6 years. She has no qualms at all about telling the CEO how to run his company. And her poor roommate! I wouldn't be in her shoes for the world! My sister finds fault with everything.
Incidentally, Pixie, she has Saturn in the 7th. She's in her early 40's and although she's had some long term and live-in relationships, she's never been married. When she laments this fact, our oldest friend (Gemini with Virgo rising) winks at me and says, "... and she wonders why."
Lesia. Wow, Sags are already blunt. Imagine having a critical, detailed, and sharp Virgo rising tongue to go with that bluntness! Hahaha.
I bet her words must sting when she says it! Virgos are tough!
Lesia-- "..and she wonders why" part-- that is not the first time I have heard someone make that observation! Too funny, though sad.
Hey Pixie
In a really nice way I am gonna get bossy. I WANT YOUR HAT
I love big hats, Jackie O, Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiff's, Julia Roberts, PixieDust. They don't love me
and I am not quite ready for the purple hat club.
Anyway you wear it well.
AAAAAAUUUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Did I miss mercury going retro or something. Every you tube link I click results in a malformed video message. I am being punished for my mind in the gutter on Tam's post about her toys.
It's Liam Sullivan's Kelly song "Let Me Borrow that Top"
Let's see if this works better: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fPDl2g8Upvk
Hmm another thing is I'm a pretty mellow Sag. Find that hard to believe... Well, it's true. 12th house Sag Sun making NO major aspects to anything in my chart. Unless you consider the quincunx major... In which case my Sag Sun/Taurus Moon are quincunx.
I think I get my bossiness from the Sag Saturn on top of my Sag ascendant. Literally right on top. And I also have Sag Uranus conjunct my Asc. by 3 degrees. So a whole lotta Sag...
Just one thing, do not lie to me :)
Ro, we sags sure have great bullshit detectors!
Daisy, fear not-- there is a hat for everyone. Perhaps not the sombrero of your dreams, but something.
And sombreros really aren't all they're cracked up to be anyway. They're a challenge to manage in the office, let me tell you. People stopping to ask to take a photo, or demanding another dish of salsa and chips-- I could go on and on!
I had a Sagittarian girlfriend once. People were actually scared of her, and she knew it, and used it to her advantage. She was tall, and 'larger than life' in her personal nature. She WAS bossy at times, but in a humorous sort of way. She had a strong self belief, (which many Saggies have), and this is actually a gift - a gift we mere mortals who don't live on planet Jupiter need to learn from. But she tended to be over-confident and got herself into trouble frequently because of this trait. She also needed to learn to practice what she preached, which is a lesson that many Saggies need to learn. But not all Saggies are the same of course, and generally I liked her, and her warm, generous, humorous ways, and her expansive, adventurous, optimistic nature.
Imo Sag is neither. They're not a typically nice sign because they are fire sign and they're too fiery to be considering people their feelings most of the time. The thing that makes sags benevolent is that they're geniuinly good hearted truth seeking people. And they're defenitely not bossy because all the sags I've known hate the responsibility of being in charge and they defenitely hate having be the boogie man which is inevitable once you're in charge.

Wow, someone brought this thread up again!
Oh wait, it's Wizron. Thanks!
I think Sags are 2 sided. One part is nice (the human side) and one side could care less (the horse side).
With Sagittarian males this is especially true Toni. If they channel their energy into their 'higher' self - into the pursuit of philosophy, justice and truth - wonderful. If they channel that energy into their 'lower', animal self - lookout!
persian_cat.....Aries is the infant of the fire signs. Leo the teenager. Sagittarians are the adults.
cosmickisses2u, preach on! Lovin' it, Lol.
Aries rules ages 0-7.
Leo rules ages 28-35.
Sagittarius rules ages 56-63.
We Sags are old souls!
To date, the only Sagittarius I have known was a 'supervisor' at my previous job. She was a taskmaster and had a very stern attitude toward those around her, unless she considered them friends of hers. But, even some of these 'friends' spoke of her harshness when she was not around. She didn't make many friends, though, because she seemed condescending, inflexible, and very cold.
nutsymaclewis, that Sag woman sounds like my mom, except my mom is a warm person! rotflmao!
nutsy, my mom may be condescending and inflexible, but she is also very warm. I had a neighbor once who didn't like my mother very much because she was such a show off in everything! My mum is a Leo by the way.
Hey Toni,
I have heard evidence that this Sagittarius I spoke of is extremely warm and loving with her family and a few close family associates, so I know she's not the devil incarnate....unless she's in the work-place. Haha! :D!
Aries: I AM Leo: I WILL Sag: I SEEK (the truth through philosophy, or by sitting with the Guru). These are the keywords for these signs, and describe the "soul mission" they have in common (apart from their personal mission, which is revealed by the combination of all the other components in their charts combined with their Sun and rising signs).
Here is another way to look at the progressive story these three fire signs tell; by looking at which slots of the life experience they occupy.
Aries: (The first. the infant) Who am I ? Me, Me, Me. I need to develop an ego to survive in this world. I am separating from the womb and mother, and I need to compete with others. (Lots of testosterone)
Leo: I KNOW who I am - the BOSS!
(the teenager). I rule the world. My parents don't know anything. (Rebellion - polarlty with Aquarius here). I have the best circle of friends, and I go the to the best parties. I am bullet proof (Leo self-confidence tending to arrogance).
Sag: I am older now, with children of my own (after the sexual reproduction of Scorpio phase). What philosophy shall I teach my children? What is the truth about life? My family is an expansion of myself.
@wizron Profound, very profound. Do you have a similar analogy for water signs?
Sort of fajalobi: Cancer: I FEEL. Scorpio: I DESIRE. Pisces: I BELIEVE.
Cancer (the sign of motherhood): The boy cutting the apron strings with mother to some extent, and exploring his world more independently. The girl having her first period in preparation for future motherhood. Vulnerability - don't poke a stick at me - I can't handle it. I'm too sensitive.
Scorpio - death and rebirth - reproduction and 'recycling'. Time to have children. How many shall we have? How will we protect our children from undesirable elements out there? As a Scorpio, I'm actually just as sensitive as Cancer, but poke a stick at me and I'll whack you over the head with a baseball bat.
Pisces: Preparing to return to the spirit world, from whence I came before I incarnated into the Aries stage of life. We are all one, so why would you try to hurt me? You are just hurting yourself.
I was surprised to see that LaGuardia and Robert Moses, two civic leaders that were responsible for rebuilding New York City from the depths of the Great Depression, were both Sagittarius Suns.
Hey Wiz <3 your insight.
Sag sun, 5th house Uranus in Leo, and yes I was hell on wheels as a kid, then came the animal Sag which comes with a full packed 8th house in Scorpio. And now, well withouth giving away my age. I am finally growing up. Yeah me!
Orlando, Sags hate too much darkness! Especially since they're a fire sign.
