Is your family mostly a cardinal, fixed, or mutable family?

My family is pretty much fixed! My dad is an Aquarian, my mom a Leo, me a Taurus, my brother a Scorpio. And my other brother and my Sagittarius sister have fixed in their charts!

Let's just say the family dinner table isn't a place to be 'weak' in my family. I mean, nobody wants to yield to anybody's opinion and nobody has ambivalent opinions.

How about you? How does this work out in your family?

there is more libra in my family than anything else..  so i'd say we're cardinal, even though my parents are both virgo suns, i'm a scorp sun and my brother is a pisces sun..  we all have libra, finalized by my sis with a libra sun (the youngest). 

both my parents have stelllia in libra as do i.  my father and brother both have libra moons.   beyond that, it's a lot of virgo and gemini...  so in the end i'd say we're cardinal and slightly mutable.  dinner with us is always different...

each holiday is a new experience at our table. 

A lot of fixed, although me, my mother, and my father are one of each :D I have been involved in a lot of groups of three that are like this in my life... one mutable, one cardinal, and one fixed. I quite like it.

As for extended family... my uncle was a Taurus, my other uncle is a Scorpio, my other uncle was a Cappy... my aunt is a Taurus and my other aunt is a Scorpio...

On my mom's side, my grandmother was a Pisces, my aunt a Scorpio, my uncle a Cappy, and that's all I know although there are many other siblings :)

I can say with fair certainty that I am the only Gemini in my family :D

Grandparents- cardinal. Parents - fixed. Us - mutable. Who knows what's next?

My husband, son, my husband's son and myself - Cardinal.

My birth family, we're pretty mixed except most of us have Jupiter Moon and Mars Mercury sigs.

My immediate family has lots of Fixed energy.

On my mother's side... her mother was one of several children, and most of them had Cardinal sun signs.  The funny thing about that is that Great-Aunt Aries and Grandmother Libra lived together after becoming widowed; so did Great-Aunts Cancer and Capricorn. Together their Suns made a Grand Cross.

My mom brother and me have a lot of Scorpio, and we are predominantly fixed.My dad has a t-square in fixed signs and a Leo Uranus that is too far away to make it a cross.

That being said the predominant Sun sign polarity is cardinal. 2 libras, 3 arieses and a cancer.My Scorp mom is the only fixed, and my Saggie brother and Gemini grandma are the only mutables.

I've also noticed that a lot of people in my family has Mars/Pluto. Yes we fight a lot over power.

Our Sun sign's are almost entirely mutable; with mine in Gemini, my Mom's in Pisces, and my brother's in Virgo. My dad has a 12th house Sun in Libra I think. But I would say my immediate family is a mix of mutable, and cardinal energies, as we all have cardinal Mars or Venus. We all also have our relationship axis (AC/DC) in earth/water signs. I am also the only mutable, or airy Moon, as the rest of my family all share a Leo moon.

Many times I've felt like my fixed rising sign, and early degree Gemini Sun was leaned on a little too heavily for my comfort level. I would have liked to have a little more stability, and calm at home, and more water, and less fire personally.

Perhaps that's why I gravitate towards watery Sun's and Moon's, in my friends and partners, as they're kind of like that missing puzzle piece I always wanted, but couldn't find in my family growing up.

Cardinal..definitely when looking at the older generations (my parents and grandparents)

then when you get to looking at my kids and I. I'm Cardinal, oldest is mutable and youngest is fixed all in air.

My family are different, I'm Mutable, brother is Cardinal, Daughter is Fixed and my Mother is mixed! Maybe more Mutable. But we do have strong Earth signs!

Great question FieryTaurus - and, like you, we are a very fixed bunch!

Our sun signs mainly, but still - my mum and myself both taurus (plus leo moon and aqua rising), my dad leo, one sister leo (just) and the other aquarius with taurus rising.

My dad has 5 brothers... his mum's a taurus, two uncles scorp (one of whom has five fixed children, the other has a scorp son), one aqua (two of his four are fixed), one virgo and one sag - so 4 of the 6 are fixed.

My mum has two brothers and two sisters - I know less about that side of the family but one brother was a scorp, one sister and her dad were both aquas.

I never really realised how entrenched our family was! Explains a lot - there's a huge amount of competition in the family - every level, sibling rivalry is rife, professional cmpetition also present.

Just call us the 'stuck in the muds'!

Mom is Taurus Sun, Virgo rising, Pisces moon. Dad was Scorpio Sun, Pisces rising, Aquarius moon.

Overall I'd say fixed. They have more mutability than I do, I pretty much don't have any.

My son and I are mutable and my husband is fixed, thank God. Some stability in there, ha ha!  We drive him nuts  sometimes bouncing off each other with ideas.
