In lieu of my eagerness for Guns N' Roses to be inducted into the Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame in April, here's my favorite song of theirs--an oldie but goodie called "Rocket Queen":

I will always remember the time BestGem and I were in the car listening to this album (Pretty Hate Machine) on the way to another friend's house and there was an absolutely spectacular sunset going on. I mean, it looked like the sky was literally on fire -- that metallic orange backdrop and magenta/electric pink clouds racing through. Stunning. Jaw-droppingly stunning!
So we parked the car and listened to this song, watching the sun go down. It was one of those perfect moments. Everything in harmony, things as they should be.
Showed up late, but what the heck. :P It was worth it! *grins*

I'm not a big LP fan, but this song grooves HARDCORE. *nodnodnod, sways to music* And timely, too, considering the apocalypse predictions for the end of this year.

Green Day, "Brain Stew"
Possibly the most perfect rock song EVAR and definitely the best song about insomnia. "My mind is set on overdrive / the clock is laughing in my face / crooked spine / my senses dulled / past the point of delirium."

I'd watched a sequence of the dance contest from "Saturday Night Fever" last weekend, and I caught myself humming this one while sitting at a red-light on the way to work yesterday.

Josi, I LOVE that song! It's one of the ones I sing coming home from work at night. 
This one's gone through my head a couple times this past two weeks:
I love it too Nutsy! That CD has been stuck in Ox's vehicle's CD player for over a year and I just got it back yesterday. I'm wearing it the heck out..lol I love Slash and Fergie so it's an awesome combination.

Josi, have you heard the version of "Paradise City" done with Slash and Fergie? She's fuckin' awesome on the lyrics. I kept hoping Velvet Revolver would get her as their front-woman if she ever left the Black-Eyed Peas! 
YES! And can you believe there were ppl that didn't like it?! I'm not one of them..lol. I think she has so much more to offer than what she gets with BEP. She would knock Velvet Revolver out of the ball park!
And, she did Sweet Child of Mine too, If I'm remembering correctly
Yeah, they did a little "Sweet Child" during the half-time show in the last Super Bowl. I'd be very happy to see her head Velvet Revolver and get that band back together.

Just heard this tune and am totally in love! Fol Chen, "In Ruins (instrumental)." There's a version with lyrics, too, but I like this one better -- not too fond of the singer's voice. It's distracting me from my groooooove, man! *lol*
