Are Aquarians the kings of kink?
What are the chart signifiers for interest in, um, interesting sex: fetishes, domination, role-play, you name it....

I knew a Sag into some intense stuff. I don't know the rest of his chart though....

The dark/intense side of sexuality has always interested me. Not sure what in my chart reveals this...

Am not sure about Aquarius (wasn't intimate for long) & think he had Cancer moon (taming him way down). But dated a Scorpio once who loved anal....yep, that. Also handcuffs and you name it. Don't know about the other signs...Have had a dry spell for a boyfriend! And am getting pickier with age....which is good, believe you me! Interesting topic! ;-)

My lovely Super Sadge friend is the LEAST vanilla person I know, by far.

And those Sag guys (or gals) likely have some scorpio influence...

I couldn't associate Aquarius with kink. Based on my experience? Far from it. 

Moonpluto...I wrote a cute story earlier, but it didn't get through so I will try to rewrite it....first, what kind of cat do you have? Persian? I love his/her color.

Second....I think Aquarians love kinky sex.  Recently, I was at the dry cleaners and this young man walks in wearing this outrageous outfit....thigh high boots, german motocycle helmet...no shirt...leather shorts....well, we were both standing at the counter waiting for the lady to come back out and so I said to him, "looks like you are ready for quite a night out!", and he turned to me with this big smile and very genuinely and sweetly replied, "no, actually I am running late to work, I work as a dominatrix and at such and such club."  First thing I thought to say was, "have you found that business has been hitting you hard as well?" and he started laughing and said, "yes, we get hit hard everyday!"....then I reallized what I had said and started laughing and then it hit me and so I turned to him and asked, "are you an aquarian, by any chance?" and he had a big smile on his face when he responded, "How did you know?!".   

In my experience Aquarians like to go for the shock value, like to BE shocked and like to push their own boundaries.  I might need to survey a few more kinky Aquarians to be sure though.

Thank you denamaria - she was rescued from the street.Her name is Kitty -- given to her by the rescuer. Fits her perfectly-- That picture shows her serious side. She loves people, is very talkative, empathetic, a comforter (she always comes over to me when I cry, always), also a defender of the underdog! I don't know if she likes kinky sex though.....

I kind of agree on the Cancer man thing... I'm dating one.  However, there is such a thing as going too far, and I'll have to think about that more.

I will say just as a comparison that Libra relates to kinky... not at all.  I do appreciate shock value as a Sun/Uranus, (and I have Gem moon to be curious)  and I have more than once been somebody's "first" doing something or other.  But in terms of a NEED for kink? to keep things interesting? not even a little bit.

I have the sixties Uranus/Pluto conjunction in my fifth house and though my NEED for kink is low, my curiosity about and tolerance of kink is very high.  Does anyone else read Dan Savage? He coined the term "GGG" for "good, giving, and game" as something we should all aspire to be for our partners and I would say I'm very GGG.  With one major caveat: I dislike fetishes in the sense of something that HAS to be incorporated into every sexual encounter in order for the person to get off (most people with fetishes are more flexible than that).  I had a boyfriend who fancied himself quite the "dom" or top and after the novelty wore off and I realized he was never able to let himself be topped just for a change of pace, I was done.

For what it's worth, I appreciate having things defined precisely too. 

One would think that I'd be into kink by looking at my chart and seeing the conjunction, but no.  The conjunction's in late /early .  is in .  I like having sex, I like having a LOT of sex...but no kink, no flourishes, no dress-up, no roleplaying, etc. etc. etc.

I guess it depends on what one's definition of "kink" is. What's pretty shocking to one person might be "'the same old thing" for someone else.

I'm born on the Capricorn/Aquarius Cusp....don't ask me twice about kinky stuff, because I don't find "kinky" to be bad. I think a lot of kinky stuff is normal. I'm conservative to a degree as a Capricorn, and then I have the Aquarian side that comes out of me often. Now where the Capricorn comes into the picture, is I do long term relationships over short term or flings and my attachment varies.

I think there is nothing wrong with oral sex, or toys, or trying a new position...suggestive sex too...only thing I have a problem with is group, but I've tried almost everything once to find out what I like.

If anybody listens to R&B and have heard the song, "Mirror" by Ne-Yo, they'll understand. I actually enjoyed watching me and a partner (Aries by the way) make love in front of a mirror. 

Scorpios kind of have that "femme fatale" or "strong silent type" thing going on.  I believe with them is more of a control thing, and their type of kinky has to do more with power, and they seem to be a bit masochistic, sadistic, or just plain nasty for their own causes.  Their sexuality is deep and dark, whereas Aquarius is usually more airy.

I have a good amount of Scorpio in my chart too, amongst Pisces another water sign.. But, I think the thing that is different about Aquarians and Scorps is Scorps seek to own their partner, Aquarians do not. Also, something new and kinky HAS to be suggested by the Scorpio. Aquarius will go with the flow or try something because they're curious.

At least, that's what I noticed.

My ex was older, bi and has had plenty of 3somes in his youth. He is of the pluto leo generation opposing venus in aquarius and jupiter in aquarius - although they don't conjunct. I found out this about him within the first month and was like "uh oh". Turns out though in bed he's pretty tame for someone with a kinky side. It's mostly an act I found which suited my venus/pluto/sun/mars conjunction just fine. Sigh. I get a bit down when i go over the compatibility. His 8th house is ruled by capricorn and his moon was in capricorn. He was very much in control and mature which really appealed to my saturn in cancer which squares those libra planets. I have to feel comfortable in order for that side of me to come out.

I was his best lover despite all of his kinky desires and experiences. Which appeals to my libra combo as well. I've always wanted someone who had experience but wouldn't push me past what i was comfortable with and yet could keep up with my own desires. Voila.

So my take on the question - Are Aquarians the kings of kink? I would say yup.

And the Scorpios, yes more about control but with some kink seems like more with their partners (then casual situations).

I don't know anything about all the squares, conjuncts and all the rest but I suppose I'm an interesting example. I had it in my personal chart that told me 'I favor female kinky energy' combined with a woman who is practical.

I'm on the Aries/Pisces cusp, Cancer rising but I have Aquarius in Venus and Aquarius in my sexuality house.

And I have to say...I didn't know this for years...but she was right (who did my chart). I do love dominant women and I guess now for most others this would be defined as kinky. Seems tame to me now that I'm playing around with a Capricorn who has Scopio in Mars. Mostly I'm having fun doing whatever she says.

And the first woman that began my journey into kink land was a wild Aquarian.

I've been with two Aquarians - one is moderately kinky (though this is by MY standards, you understand) and one was pretty extreme - extreme to the point where it relieved me that there was some distance between us ... cuz I might have gone there with him and I might never have recovered.  ('scuse me while I grab a fan) 

Now to be fair, my standards are pretty inclusive.  I worked at a toy shop in West Hollywood for a year - and if we didn't sell it, you would probably have to special order it.  I've been going to a dungeon on and off pretty regularly over the past 4 or 5 years.  I like men, I like women, and sometimes I like people who aren't sure which side of the gender line is theirs.   (there's a sidebar there but I'm trying to stay on topic)

I tend to draw two types of men: alpha male dominant types (the genuine ones, not the leather-wearing poseurs who have decided that they are male and therefore Must. Be. Dominate [sic]) and men who don't realize they are kinky.  Fuckin' charismatic gemini  that I am, I will find what they don't know and if they are open to the idea bring it to light in a caring and sensitive way.  Because of that I think I tend to find a variety of lovers from a variety of backgrounds.

So, my experience.  Two Pisces - one very kinky, one intrigued but not really into it.  Two Aquarians, as noted above.  A Virgo who is by his standards VERY kinky and by my standards moderately so.   A Leo who loved the drama of bdsm foreplay, but wanted to get right down to it after about 15 minutes.  (*grin* Oh I miss him) A Sag whose scale matches mine, and who is at the high end of that scale.  

Seeing as how kinky sex is one of my favorite topics, I could go on for days but I won't.  You get the idea though - my experience says that you may have something on the AQuarius but they don't have the lock on kinky, not by a looong shot.

I think Lupa and Satori bring up good points about fetishism... it's a paraphilia, or sexual disorder, listed in the DSM-IV-TR as 302.81 and with the following criteria:

- repeatedly + > 6 months, intense sexual desires, fantasies, or Bx (behavior) concerning the use of inanimate objects

- this results in clinically important distress or impairs work, social, or personal functioning. 

- the objects are not used solely in cross-dressing and are not equipment intended to stimulate the genitals (such as a vibrator).

As for Scorp sexuality being something that is intense, liberally kinked out with generous helpings of power play, and involving a committed relationship and not a casual thing, like Aquarius... well, this sun and venus in scorp sure isn't going to kiss n tell. It just wouldn't be right. ;-)

I think I have been unlucky with my Sag ex-partner as she was/is pretty much vanilla! I am a Virgo but would very much like to find a more adventurous lady. I think the best I have had was with a Cancer lady who was twice my age (this was when I was 24): I was inexperienced and she was kind to me and did something for me in bed that no other woman has done before or since. Unfortunately after our one-night-stand I unintentionally said something to offend her (not to do with sex) and I never saw her again (it's easy to offend Cancers unfortunately!)
