Saturn is on my ascendant right now and the twerp who works at 7-11 called me ma'am yesterday. I guess he was being respectfull, but... I'm not that much older than him, jeeez.

I thought that might've been the case.  I'm in Texas too, been living here too long and I do the same thing!

It's in my 1st too, and the idea of my looking authoritative...chuckle, chuckle. People think I'm very ingenuous, usually. Then they get suspicious that perhaps I am not, then they think I'm trying to pull one over on them.

Virgo ASC sideswiped by 1st H pluto!

I was going into the grocery store the other day, negotiating patches of unmelted ice in the parking lot, and this young guy comes over and takes my arm and walks me to the store's entrance, like I was an elderly grandma in danger of wiping out.  Tried to be gracious about it but it sure made feel old though I knew he was just trying to be helpful and respectful.  And because I didn't recognize him I had to ask the obligatory 'old people' question:  "Who's your folks?"  Must be all the gray hair . . .

LOL Peppermint. On the upside, there is still a gentleman out there, hooray! Someone's Mom did their job!

@Elsa - the whole time it's in your 1st, yer look authoritative anyway..

THAT explains why everyone thinks I know all the answers.    I always wondered.

Sun/Saturn/Asc - I always look authoritative.  This phenomenon (random person walks up and asks me questions that are way more involved than "nice weather, isn't it?") has been going on as long as I can remember - at least 30 years.

Oh - @notatirem - some of us DO that.  It took me a few years living in California to break the habit of "Sir" and "Ma'am"ing EVERYONE.  I still do it, but less pervasively.
