Hubs has Sun Moon and Merc in Gemini. Another very good friend is a Gemini. Tall and thin. Look good dressed up and are great in sophisticated settings. Both like their mate to be their best friend. Pretty easy going and willing to give in to keep you around. No grudge holding or prolonged fighting. Sex obsessed but loyal. Very funny but more privately than on a stage like a Leo. Self-delusional about money and not aware of what others might be contributing. A bit of obsessed with privacy and nervous about safety. Lots of dirty talk. Could be with someone ugly and it wouldn't be a dealbreaker. Needs lots of encouragment and approval. Long talks, lots of updates and info thrown at companion.

I'll be interested to see what ppl come up with.

A foundation of interesting conversation, someone that can mostly keep up with them and not leave them bored.  Then the friendship aspect and intellectual kinship.  Then keeping the sex interesting.  Basically, before a deeper bond happens, they need a foundation of someone that matches their conversational and interest rhythms so their attention or attraction doesn't wane.  Then they know they've found their match.

ME!! Okay, really. Um, as I dated a Gemini man, and I'm a Gemini, what can I remember about the creature? He liked my wit, talent for all those nice Geminian things like double entendre's, flirting, word games ect. I think he liked both looks and brains in his partner, which I think I read somewhere many Gemini want--a bombshell with an IQ of 140. I think he liked being someone I came to for sound, logical advice, and liked that I really listened to him, and sometimes took his advice on things. He liked that I told him my secrets, and what I really thought of something, or someone.

He liked, or we liked just f-ing with each other's heads some days. Nothing mean, or negative just.....a light tease, and a flirtatious smile to tide us/him over until later. I think he liked to just "play" sometimes, and be a goof, and laugh about random stuff. I think he also liked making me laugh at his jokes, which wasn't hard. That's about all I can remember, but I'm sure Gemini men today have other interests. . : )

Hmm....I could talk a man into an overheated brain if I really gave it my best efforts, but why bother if they're not going to get it? Or are.....a Gemini Man? : )

I've only known two Gemini men well, one my brother in law and the other a very old friend - from my first year at college. I don't find either remotely sexy. Both seem to go for very lively vibrant ladies.

My b.in.l is boring and pompous but devoted to my Sag sis, and has never looked at another woman - they married in 1970. My Gemini friend on the other hand has never married - but I hear he is very challenged in the size department! He also has addiction issues... and never stops talking

If Mina is correct, the ideal answer is ... Hedy Lamarr?  *chuckle*  And Mina herself, of course.

"once while running away from Friedrich Mandl, she slipped into a brothel and hid in an empty room. While her husband searched the brothel, a man entered the room and she had sex with him so she could remain hidden. She was finally successful in escaping when she hired a new maid who resembled her; she drugged the maid and used her uniform as a disguise to escape"

I think Hedy Lamarr might scare them with her Scorpio-ness

Haha Gingernicole, "Not me, apparently." I feel the same!

Right before I started making out with my Gemini, he said, "Women end up hating me. They like me at first, and then they hate me."

I said, "Why?"He responded, "Because I'm kinda... skiddish."

We proceeded to make out like.. uh.. rabbits.

Since then, just a naughty smile, a double entendre here or there, Nothing more than friends, just like we were before.

Skiddish? Definitely. Haha. At least he admits it, and no, I don't hate him, because he gave me fair warning before I took the dive. And because I have Gemini ASC, I kinda understand. Not totally, just kinda.

I think a Gemini man wants to experience a little, that's all.  He wants to talk, he wants to know a little about you, he wants to know what you'd be like... and then once that little thirst is quenched, he's on his merry way.

@Shannon--(mischevious Gemini grin) thanks. He sure wanted me--any way he could get me worked for that one. I was the skittish one, he was the calm slow moving one. After he passed, and I got a chance to formally meet his mother and sister, they looked a little surprised, but believed me when I said that when he was with me he was calm, and just....content with his world, and I loved that about him. His sister then paid me one of the nicest, yet heart wrenching compliments ever in saying "he was his best with you. he gave you his best, and tried really hard to hide his worst from you." And, "We knew when he'd been with you because, he always came home so calm, and at his highest self."

Yes his did, and perhaps it was a fatal choice in his case as he didn't want me to see him dealing with his demons, or dragon in his case, and so I never got a chance to tell him I loved him (he told me right before), and I didn't get to try to help him thru it, he just sacrificed, as he did, and let the universe have him.

I also think that being a double Gemini, with Mercury in Gemini, I probably keep a Gemini man guessing, as I'm more jumpy than them sometimes. The older Gemini men I've known were affectionate, and usually watchful of me most of the time, I liked knowing I was understood for being me. My man said once when I was postulating on the idea of marriage, "Eh, he'll need a net to drop from the ceiling, and a trail of cookies to catch you."

I took "offense" and sat up straight, and said "protestingly," "He would not! I'm not that hard to catch, or that bad." Glance innocently up at him thru my lashes, "Um....what kind of cookies would they be? Gluten free one's?"

I'll find another one, or die trying. My goal in life is to get laid before the next millenia if possible as I missed the last one.

My husband has Sun, Mercury, Venus and Jupiter in Gemini.

Very even keeled, sex fiend, everybody's friend (swear the man could have an hour conversation with ANYBODY) and he fits in well everywhere.

The Geminis I've known turn out to be enemies disguised as friends -- makes sense because of their dual nature but I'm a Scorpio and I can't handle that. Not doing what you said or being *mean* or having tantrums is a betrayal to me.

But I believe what they want more than anything is to be influential. They want soft power, to be the hegemon. I was going to say that being right is important but it's more about never being wrong. The Gemini I knew appeared to be sweet and sparkly and his energy was deeply attractive, but the "good" Gemini was only possible when nothing challenged his belief that he was royalty.

ETA: Come to think of it, I've run into the royalty thing with every Gemini I've ever known.

The man in my life has Venus in Gemini, and what he wants is lots of sex with lots and lots of women. Infinite variety is essential to him, he'd no more think of committing to one woman than he'd stick pins in his eye (and he needs his eyes for work lol). He also likes lots and lots of company (could never live in the country - he needs the city like he needs to breathe), and he likes to visit lots of countries, own lots of books and paintings -

You get the idea - Geminis need lots of everything! or maybe just Gemini Venuses do

They want to be constantly entertained. I don't mean this in a negative way; although in my experience it was not so nice. Maybe "stimulated" is a better word. Intensely stimulated in a way that things are never routine, never boring.

I've always accepted it Dina without being exactly happy with it. I was always free too, of course. The problem has always arisen when he fails to put me FIRST, which sometimes has happened - I'm much older than him, and I've played a different role in his life from the others. Sometimes it doesn't suit me to be always there in the background. Right now it doesn't and I've said so. We are once more estranged, as he won't be told ... he's all fixed signs!

luci yes you are exactly right - 'entertained' is the word

Yeah, I don't like the not being put first thing either.  I do have water in my chart.  I think that's a problem with relationships with Aquarians, too, probably.

luci, you are right.  That's why Geminis like Leos so much, Welcome to Cabaaaaaret :D And the Gemini pulls up a chair and brings the appetizers and condiments

I've got very little water Dina - my chart is almost all Earth. and I like to know where I am. As I said to him a few weeks ago when he was ranting about a series of texts I sent him, telling him he was driving me mad, 'Look we both know already we're totally incompatible, we just have to find a way to deal with that'. It's never been easy.

And yes, he's a double Leo and has a Gemini Venus AND an Aquarius Moon - and with his Sun Moon and Asc all in fixed signs, it's pointless trying to change him. I just have to draw a line from time to time, to avoid being overwhelmed (he's very heavily Plutonic too...! and Saturn in Scorpio...) and that always leads to one or other of us, almost always me, calling enough (for a while). He always does come back though - that's the problem!

Hehe. (sidelong grin/glance) I think I need to look up Hedy Lamarr for reference.

The Gemini men I've liked have been much older than me. The one's around my age are irritated when I can not only keep up, but out think them, and doubt they're worth my....not inconsiderable talents.

I also think that there is a weird thing when it comes to Geminis and meeting their match.  I think they are proud of their intelligence and talent and are competitive about it.  Meeting their match is frustrating, sometimes in a stimulating way, sometimes in a bad way.  I guess they want to outpace the other sometimes.  Having someone that's "hip to your tricks" all the time can sometimes get boring.  I'm speaking from my own point of view, too :)

Dina - Yep. Or maybe not 'boring', but they certainly don't like being corrected, or instructed on something other than the way THEY do things.

The things I remember made me love my Gemini man were that he was even faster, smarter (in some ways), and clever with words than me. And I think with his past, and his age he was confident enough in his manhood to enjoy my intelligence, and looks and rather than feel threatened by me. And I liked  combining my strength of will, intelligence, and feminine power with his masculine self to create something greater than we were as our separate parts.

@Mina

We have some in common! I've got Venus in Gemini (house 7 in Gemini, so ASC Sadge) and Mercury in Gemini. Funnily enough I've never dated a Gemini guy (maybe ASC but I wouldn't know! didn't ask them). My "current" (lol - I'm not bored yet ;-) is also Venus in Gemini and...we do have the same way of thinking. In fact, our love is also very "imagery" in words. We are on the same wavelenght. For the moment it's a long distant relationship (we met through internet >> the meeting of two intellects, looks come after) and I won't go into the details, but we are able to maintain a high level of wordly intimacy despite the distance lol okay this is also very stimulating and certainly out of the ordinary. With a lot of Gemini character, I must say I "needed" to have multiple experience, because I found discovery so stimulating (and the flirting) each time, yes, I can say it is also "curiosity" that drives me into a relationship. I needed to see the world (of men) and then find out what was good for me. I think I'm pretty close, but when it comes to committment, I'm still ...glups... However, I'd like to ground myself at some point - sun in taurus reminds me from time to time. :-)

I've had lots of relationships with Geminis.  One had five planets in Gemini, and one had four planets in Gemini.  .  My best friend is a double Gemini, and i have lots of girlfriends who are Gemini rising.  Weird, but I do attract the energy.

A lot of the Gemini men I know cheat.  The ones with lots of Gemini in them.  I've known one Gemini my whole life...he's a Gemini Sun and a Sag rising, and he's actually a sex addict.  He just got married for the first time in his life at 47 about 8 months ago, and he's already cheating on his wife.  I guess he thought a piece of paper would change him.   Yeah right.

My last boyfriend was a Gemini, and he was totally loyal.  He had Gemini Sun conjunct Saturn and Mercury.  Very loyal and trustworthy.

I'd say Gemini men want to be mentally stimulated and want variety!  My loyal Gemini was a very social person and was out all the time.  He was also bipolar.   That's another thing I've found.  I know three people who are bipolar and they are all Gemini.  Not to say Gemini makes you bipolar of course. The Gemini I knew with 5 planets in Gemini was super moody.  VERY moody.  They are very big 'noticers.'  They notice little things and want to report it back, or for you to tell them little things.    I mean really trivial things.  They are very rational and logical and a lot of them don't believe in astrology.  I just met another man, who happens to be a Gemini, but its his Gemini-ness that puts me off now.  I'm just bored now by all the meaningless facts.  I'd prefer to talk about the meaning behind the facts, but nope, they just want the facts ma'am.  Just the facts.

My Best friend who committed suicide was a Gemini. He was in an open marriage and his wife was totally okay with it. Very honest and straight forward but he did have a way with words. Not the crass Sagittarius bluntness but he said even the most harsh things in a way that would make anyone understand. He was very mentally unstable but had TONS of 12th house planets badly aspected..

Oh and my current crush/bestfriend is a Gemini. Lets not even get started.

My boyfriend is a Gemini.. and loads of it.

He needs to be entertained and validated. Sexually, mentally, emotionally and phyiscally.

They can be all over the place and actually forget things (skiddish) simply they are off doing the next thing; and sometimes they forget you, simply they're there for everyone, because they are EVERYONE'S friend.

I simply just make sure they have a safe haven, with myself.. and they have the freedom to talk to me: whenever. We do live in a world of telecommunications, galore.

They can drive a lot of people insane, with there excessive, ways. But I have Sag stellium, it suits me, well. I don't mind if he is always around me 24:7, I have a phone and place called home.
